Zane crying BUT it's just ice shards forming right over his eyes because his element is desperately doing anything to keeps it's elemental master alive even of it means GIVING HIM TEARS. At this point he's a Disney princess 😔

Also hear me out on element's having slight sentience as doing small things to protect their element masters, (eg. Earth shields for Cole even though he didn't make one, a quick blast from Kia he's sure he didn't do himself-)

i love the idea of the elements acting on their own, especially to protect their masters gosh thats genius

ESPECIALLY ZANE since how ice is always depicted as a more unpredictable element (cough frozen cough)

ice shards sprouting from under his faceplate and ice crystals forming around his eyes in place of him crying, ice freezing his feet to the ground when he’s about to do some dumb self-sacrificing stunt, (also i love the idea of a mini aurora borealis forming around him when he really laughs. not protecting him but its cute)

- Dragon Age - (Of course) I really identify with Alistair mostly because of how he tries to really ‘break the ice’ or be friendly with humor, has a lot of insecurities, and isn’t always the brightest bulb (I don’t often feel like I’m very intelligent? Like I am but I often make very dumb mistakes that often drag me down a lot and make me feel like less you know?)

- Skyrim - I guess Farkas? It felt kind of hard for me to identify with anyone in Skyrim but if anyone it’d probably be him bc he acts all tough but is kinda this soft mess on the inside and that’s a mood lemme tell ya

- Mystic Messenger - I’m not involved with the fanbase as I used to be especially with like fifteen prompts I need to do but I really did identify with Jumin because I tend to be more introverted and god do I love cats OMG

- Stranger Things - I guess I’d have to say, Dustin, we’re both mega messes tbh I love him he’s my son

- Fallout (Mainly Fallout 4 tbh) - Preston Garvey I know he’s not popular but it’s both our main goals in life to help people and make the world a better place!! He deserves so m u chfjdsklfsjakf

So i saw your post about Zane being like a 3rd dad for Fritz and Spitz. So, i remembered something. Do you ever think about how Fritz is a formling,, and how Zane was the ice emperor. Because I do, and it's driving me crazy. Zane, who was a tyrannical ruler, was a possible borderline genocidal maniac against formlings that sees this child of the same species. And he buries the instinctual feelings of hatred. He leans down and spins fritz around and tries to forget the crushing guilt of what he did? Because. Because imagine this dude,,,

i firmly believe that one of geo and zane’s first proper conversations aside from small talk (bc hes lowk in love with geo’s husband) is that zane sat geo down and confessed everything about his vision, the never realm, his memories being lost, aspheera and the staff, the dragon, the ice emperor, Vex, and most importantly what he did

and geo sat and listened and after he was done, he reassured him. obviously zane is taken aback because after everything he did he ‘doesn’t deserve comfort’. it turns out that not only had cole mentioned a little bit of it before, but the Tale of the Ice Emperor is incredibly popular within the formlings, but it’s a story of how he broke free of a curse and changed for good, and how he and his friends saved the never realm

uhhh yadayadayada different yap now

i dont think zane still has the urges like the ice emperor did, given its been like (sorry) 6-7 years now. but he is still aware of what he did and couldnt look at fritz at first without remembering.

and the crushing guilt stays with him for ever, but after a while he slowly learns to start moving past it, especially after his chat w geo, and gets closer to the boys, specifically Fritz (who is THRILLED btw)

and theyre one big happy family <333

So I was thinking about Zane being the logical one of the group, but not actually having mechanic skills or much to do with tech really because that was Jay's role, and I didn't really get why he did later just because he learned he was a nindroid, and then I suddenly thought about Zane not knowing how his body works. but then he could? because he can just- acquire them? because to him they're not fostered skills that is supposed to take time and effort and hello? is this mic on?

(sorry for the word dump but y'know while we're on the topic of Zane insanity 😅)

i cant imagine the horror of going your whole life dismissing the idea of learning tech stuff because Why would I? Jay’s the tech guy and he’s danm good at it! just to learn that you are ALSO somewhat the Tech Guy but in a new scary way

the constant panic of What The Fuck i dont know how my own body works what if i get damaged what if something happens im not that close w jay yet i cant always rely on him tech stuff takes years to learn and just drowning in that spiral until he realises that he can just download the skills

unfortunately no online skill pack can help him understand his identity, but at least he has a family to help

i still firmly believe that throughout canon he’s just gradually unlocking new features and learning new limits and skills because dr julien Didn’t Tell Him Shit him learning the basics of tech to try and understand himself only to become even more lost <333

Random question cus I saw you obsessing over Bizarro Zane a while ago but if he was his own character how would you characterize him (cuz I’d think something like Cryptor but I want a more creative idea than that)

this is such an amazing question ily

to me he’s very reserved and quiet but in like a calculating way rather than a shy way, hes very witty and sharp-tongued and judgy

incredibly smart (nindroid, duh) but cocky about it rather than humble like zane. totally has an ego. but like doesnt brag or actively show off too often

“banter” hes just mean. sly and sharp and his insults take a while to register that they were insults.

he has a sniper gun too! like how zane has a bow n arrow he has some huge ass military rifle that he stole for the bit

very flirty in my head. yk when the villains in movies are really homoerotic on the dl and kinda flirty and eyefuck the hero/their assistant the whole time? yah thats him.

Hey, I think you need to reduce the stuttering in dialogue. Naturally people don't do it very often, if at all. Just a suggestion

I don’t think I stutter very often in my dialogue? I mean certainly yes there are instances but it’s only a few.

Personally, I stutter and stumble over my words a lot when I talk and I found while playing Dragon Age Cullen did as well, at the very least when flustered.

I appreciate the suggestion don’t get me wrong I’ll be sure to take notice of it but reviewing over my writing I don’t think it’s an issue. I’ll keep an eye for it though thank you again!!! 💝💝

Anon from earlier. Thank you SO MUCH for not flipping out (like the last guy). I totally get that some people stutter, especially Cullen. I was just seeing that it would happen every other sentence or so, and it was breaking the flow. I'd recommend adding more gestures, like fidgeting with something in their hand or being unable to keep eye contact. Just little actions say so much. Thank you for being kind ♥️♥️♥️

I understand you’re just trying to help, if I’m correct you’re that anon from even earlier before who suggested the same thing with actions. I’ve been trying a great deal to actually put those in but typically my form of little things come in expressions in eyes and what not so it’s a bit awkward for me. Regardless, I’ll be sure to experiment even more with it!! It’s probably just something I’ll have to learn more of and adjust to!!

I still don’t quite see the stuttering issue but I’ll definitely keep it in mind and watch out for it with future writings!! Thank you so much and have a lovely day darling 🌺
