Sunset Motel, 1531 Las Vegas Blvd S – 1959

The tiny motel with a rarely photographed sign was located slightly "off street" as it says, behind one of the oldest motel courts on the Blvd, the De Luxe. Sunset, De Luxe, and another motel called Kozy Kourt were on the northeastern corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Oakey where there is presently a gas station, taco shop, and Luv-It Frozen Custard.

Sunset was originally called Ivanhoe Motel in the late 40s. It became Sunset in the mid 50s; closed in '69. (via aura808)
