Gazing into the sunset on the beach,

A moment of serenity hard to reach.

The waves crashing onto the shore,

A melody that one could adore.

With every sound, I'm taken away,

To a place of peace, where I can sway.

My worries fade away into the sea,

Carried off by the waves so free.

The colors of orange, pink, and red,

Paint a picture in my head.

A peaceful moment that is rare,

As if time has stopped to stare.

The salty air and the sand at my feet,

A scene so beautiful, it's hard to beat.

I wish this moment would never end,

But the sun has set, and darkness descends.

I'll forever cherish this memory,

Of gazing into the sunset so heavenly.

The waves taking me to a different place,

A moment of pure bliss and grace.

The sisters of my Sky

The sky, oh the beautiful sky! How you glisten in my eyes. Your use of a paint brush is immaculate! Each night, each morning, a new and extravagant sight awaits gracing my eyes to its beauty. I sit at my window like a little kid on Christmas, watching your colors dance through the air. As a child like giddiness washes over me each time I watch you rise on my dreary walk to the bus stop. The dark winter mornings make it harder for me to see your vast beauty as you haven’t brought your warm bright eyes over my horizon yet. However the nights you set so early. It’s barely time to start preparing supper before you have to leave to rest yourself.

But at least your beautiful twin sister shines bright in my sleepless nights. Captivating my lonely heart as I yearn for sleep, giving me a painting of planets, constellations, and stars to watch. While the moon smiles at all our sleeping faces, forgetting it’s envy of seeing us lively, and happy in the light of our days.

So lush and plump

The roses, the sky,

Golden sun lashes,

The taste of rye

Big clouds, swirling

In between, sun rays

Poles of fervency,

Lingers burnt day

The ocean deeper

Than cathedrals

Shimmering allure

Shines immortal

Someday white bones,

May lie upon,

The shifting silver

Of midnight sands

If I were to

Wait here, as long

As my heart adores

Your morning song

The down clouds, like

A field of rose

My hands long to hold

Each petal prose

So cold and drear

They truly are,

But still warm with their

Starry silk dreams

Sunset

Soft,warm,beautiful.

Today I came. Showing my colours

I stood proud. Shining bright.

But my moments fleeting, and all that’s left is the dull,dark,sky.

But tomorrow I will come again. See you soon. Pink, yellow sunset.

Sunsets

To me

Sunsets are incredibly beautiful

The blending of colours

Dark reds

Vibrant oranges

And rich yellows

Pigments twisting

And merging

And swirling

Then fading

As day turns to dusk

.

.

But every time

Anyone mentions the beauty

Of the sky

They mention a sunrise

Full of light

And hope

And colour

Giving them the drive

To get on with their day

Something I just

Can’t

Seem to experience

In the same breathless way

I experience a sunset.

.

.

Or they bring up

The hidden mystery of stars

Little glints of light against

A pitch black abyss

Constellations

Marking points

For stories

And visions

Of a future

I’m not sure we’ll see.

But to me,

Stars can only bring hints

Of the joy and expression

A sunset gives me.

So I think

I’ll just go on taking pictures

And staring at the colours

As day turns to dusk
