Sunturns
First Winter
Back In Town
Christmas III
-album-
Just in case anyone has a less than perfect family relationship and isn’t super jazzed to see them during these holidays, here’s a song for you.
So for sure my favorite album of the last few months is this album. It’s decently Christmas-themed but not overly-so and can for sure be listened to any time of year. Sunturns features one of my favorite artists around nowadays, Einar Stray of Einar Stray Orchestra fame; as well as Jorgen Nordby (who plays the drums for another of my favorite artists, Moddi), and a few other heavy hitters of the Norwegian music scene.
Personal favorite songs: Sunni, The Axial Tilt, To Say The Least, Christmas Bells/Wedding Bells, Would You, Aleksander, Mount Kenya.
(and if you like “Aleksander”, just know that it has a parallel song of the same name on Einar Stray Orchestra’s most recent release, Politricks.)
Aleksander into the night, I couldn't cry for your soul to come back Aleksander I tried
Sunturns - Hallelujah (Christmas Is Here!)
