Last summer w @mamedjarradiop and the remarkable @sunuthiossane team! This Saturday is the fundraiser for Sunu Thiossane's summer program at BAM Fisher and I hope you all come to support! When I came in during the 2nd or 3rd week of camp, these students had already learned nearly 4 full pieces of choreography and were performing it with such presence, and vigor! Mamedjarra is so passionate about creating, maintaining and expanding this space for Senegalese youth to express themselves in the performing arts, it bleeds into her students and staff. It is inspiring to meet someone who cares as much as she does.
