Sega Super Play was a set of trading cards released by Panini across Europe in 1992. This is a photo of some of them. Source: https://twitter.com/AbelMunizJr/status/1603118354792751104
Youtube videos? Ewww. This is how we got unstuck in games back in the 1990's.

Starfleet Academy: Starship Bridge Simulator on the Super Nintendo gets 77% from Super Play in March 1995. I had fun with this one as a kid (with a broken, glitchy cart where the ship models wouldn't stay in one piece making targeting a nightmare), little did I know at the time though that the "proper" version of the game was on PC-CD ROM and had hours of live action footage featuring William Shatner, Walter Koenig and George Takei!
The acting and greenscreens were a bit too cringe for me, so as an adult I hunted down and read Diane Carey's excellent novelization instead:
...but imagined the cartoon Super Nintendo versions of the characters from the version I played as a kid.
I took a week off but I'm back with this Christmas issue of Super Play.
