My husband asked for a Superb Starling wearing a fez, and I am not one to disappoint

I got started working on Art Fight refs with the full intention of doing humanoids, but I drew one goddamn pigeon a few days ago and now I CANT STOP DRAWING BIRDS!!

They are cute though 😅

Ending June with a day at the Atlanta Zoo

Southern White Rhinos (Ceratotherium simum simum)

Meerkat (Suricata suricatta) on lookout

Western Lowland Gorillas (Gorilla gorilla gorilla) Taz and Floyd

A very active Radiated Tortoise (Astrochelys radiata)

A rather photogenic Cuban Rock Iguana (Cyclura nubila)

Up close with a Hamerkop (Scopus umbretta)

and a quartet of talkative Superb Starlings (Lamprotornis superbus)

A male Drill (Mandrillus leucophaeus). Atlanta Zoo is home to the only captive breeding drill troop in North America.

And finally a Wrinkled Hornbill (Rhabdotorrhinus corrugatus) who seems unsure if it's too hot to stay on his perch or not.

A wonderful day in a wonderful place, I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!
