Superhero cracky AU thoughts

Cracky thought of the day:

in case of superhero au, Magnus would straight out refuse to fight a villain wearing shorts. (… think about it, doesn't really scream "intimidating", right?… is there ever a villain wearing shorts?)

Magnus: "No. No can do. I'm out of here." Alec: "Magnus! You can’t just leave! We need to fight the bad guy!" Magnus: "My dearest Alexander, I'm sorry. But you cannot expect me to take this man seriously. Who robs a Bank in shorts? And… are those crocs? Oh my god they are." adressing the Bank robber "Have you no self respect, sir? This should be beneath you, and it is certainly beneath me. Now be a good boy and return the money and then you can try again once you have figured out your wardrobe." Alec: "Magnus!"

Alec actually isn't much better. His highly trained soldier sensibilities are offended™️ by most villains organizations. Alec: "This was your exit strategy? Really? Did you not think about the silent alarm and police response time? Did you study flight routes? Back alleys? Have you even looked at a blueprint of the building before storming in here with a gun? This is pathetic. Next time, do your homework first. "

Alec clutches the worn out comic book in his hands, his eyes sweeping over Captain America’s stance on the cover. He still remembers how excited Max had been when he’d gotten it, going on and on about how Captain America helped people, how he just wanted to stop the bullies - how he was a hero.

Staring down at the star on Cap’s shield, Alec pushes away all his anger and grief, focussing on the single most ridiculous idea he’s ever had. He can hear Hodge's voice, clear as day:

“With great power, comes great responsibility.”

Magnus might be screwed.

Okay, scratch that. Magnus is screwed, there's no use beating around the bush at the moment. Not when he's probably about to die, or at least get captured by Valentine. At the very best, he hopes that it's actually Valentine himself that finds him instead of a lower level squadron of nobody supers. It'd be so much less embarrassing.

Prompt used: a superhero/vigilante au where our heroes have special powers and/or secret identities. person a and person b have been interacting for a while and slowly work out their ~true identities so they can fight crime together?

The city has it's heroes. Alec never really wanted to be one of them, but when Izzy and Jace more or less insist on saving the world, Alec goes along with it. He might have expected a lot of things in a world where his siblings can create a snowstorm, but he never expected to find his own hero.

Or that he'd be so attractive.
