"Get off the floor, you cockroach." Tony dug the toe of his balmoral boot into the beaten and bruised side of the poor soul - who was curled up on his concrete basement floor. Tony tsked from disgust and shot a look over to his guy.
"8:23" he said to his boss.
"Alright, you have seven minutes to spill your guts, or we'll do it for you. And by that, I mean quite literally." Tony walked around the man in a circle. The dark room only illuminated by the spotlight above them. Highlighting the scenario taking place. His heels and the mans ragged breathing are echoing off the empty walls.
"Down to five minutes now." Tony adds. His guy passes him his gen 5 - Glock 22. The weight of it grounds him, and he stares down at it. Turning it in his hand in appreciation. "You did me dirty, Jake. And you know better than that. I'm disappointed in you. You were one of my favorites, after all. I learned your name and everything." Tony sighs and aims his gun. The man on the floor quivers but refuses to speak.
"You're going to die, Jake. Do you understand that? If you don't tell me their names or who they work for, I'm going to kill you. And there's no coming back from that - just so we're clear."
"Two minutes." The other man stated.
Tony nodded. "You hear that, Jake? You have two more minutes, and then I need to leave and put my baby to bed. When I leave, that's it. You're done."
Jake, the guy on the floor, opens his mouth. Blood trickles out first -
"I'm all ears, Jakie." Tony coos.
Then, a crackle of his voice starts to form a word -
"Daddy!" A sugary voice calls from the staircase leading down into the basement. Then footsteps followed.
Tony rolls his eyes with a groan and immediately turns to the staircase to meet round eyes and a cherub face. "Baby, we've talked about this. You don't come down here. Especially when Daddy is working."
"But I got a booboo!" Peter shoved his finger towards Tony's face.
"Daddy is working, Petey." Tony points the gun towards the man on the floor exasperatedly.
"Booboo!" Peter shouts and huffs, stomping his foot. Tony scrubs his face with his empty hand.
"Alright." Tony looks over to his guy. "Buck. Take care of this for me. I need to attend a booboo."
Peter squeaks as Tony picks him up. Buck nods in confirmation. He hears Tony's voice as he walks up the stairs with Peter in his arms. "How many times have I told you, Pete?"
"You gotta kiss the booboo, Daddy!"
"How did this even happen?"
"You left me unsupervised!" Peter and Tony's voices fade as they get further and further away...
"The God has a weakness then?" Jake speaks finally.
Bucky gruffs and cocks the gun. "Peter?" Jake nods. "Peter is the sole reason Mr. Stark hasn't set the world on fire yet. He isn't his weakness, roach. He's the reason Stark is a God and not a bottom feeder like you."
"That makes Peter a target. Makes Tony weak." Jake chides.
"That's Mr. Stark to you, roach." Bucky smirks and aims his gun - "You obviously haven't been paying attention if you think losing Peter would make him weaker. He'd rain hellfire on this earth if that ever happened."
