Supernatural- Season 11

Hiya friends. Before I start off with everything, I just wanna state that I love Supernatural and it's one of my favorite shows on television. This is just my opinion.

 I just finished catching up on Supernatural and well, I have a few words to say.

 The Season 11 Finale of Supernatural should have been the series finale.

 Think about it. 

 Everything is at peace. God is back. He's revealed himself to the boys and he's here to stay. 

 God and Lucifer "made up", if you will. They're at peace. God apologized to Lucifer and it's gonna be ok between those two.

 God and The Darkness are ok. They're gonna work on their relationship and work hard so they can work together. They're ok. They're at peace. They're OK. 

 Dean and Sam? They could have ended it here. God could have sent Dean back to Sam and well, happy ending. We all know that Dean and Sam would have kept on hunting, but for once in all 241 episodes we would have had a happy ending on this show. It would have been the perfect series finale. For once everyone would have gone home happy. I'm telling you, the cliffhangers weren't needed at all. They had a chance to end this show on a high note and they didn't take it.

 However, I'm opening minded for season 12. I literally have no clue how it's going to go, so maybe they make it work. I don't know. All I know is that we had a chance for the show to end on a high note, and it wasn't taken. 

 That is all.

Destiel between canon and fanfiction

After watching the Season 11 finale, I like many other viewers feel like the writers are trying to smash down every possible chance of Destiel becoming canon in the show. America is in a funny spot at the moment and I have no doubt that the writers are er-ing on the side of caution to prevent themselves from offending viewers. It's like the sheer thought of an angel and a human falling in love on a show based on fiction is scandalous... Which is a strange thought because they literally have canonically confirmed that God is bi... Anyway, I just wanted to give my 5 cents that if the writers continue to do everything in their power to ensure Destiel doesn't become canon, that my fellow Destiel shippers we should just stick to reading and writing fanfiction (which often has more plot and character development than some canon episodes). We can't carry on coming across as aggressive fans who will stop at nothing to get Destiel to happen because guess what, the writers will just screw up Destiel even more as they try to reach our impossible standards. Consider the show as our easel and pastels and fanfiction as our canvas. We pick out the characters and moments we like the best and layer them together to make something beautiful. It's not the end of the world if Destiel doesn't become canon. We have the imagination and the tools as a fandom to treat the characters with the justice they deserve. The show just serves as extra plot ideas to fuel our fire.
