I would like to see Greg and Pearl defend their pink wife, but I think they respect Stevens feelings even if they dont agree.
I know you said wrong person but uh
Im not sure what prompted this, whether it was a request or mistake, idk but like same. I get the feeling that Steven, like half the fandom, is just going to focus on all the negative stuff she did when she was young rather than look at things as a whole. Like yeah, she started out as a spoiled brat but after she broke Pink Pearl, she realized that her actions have consequences, to the point that CG Pearl didn’t even know about her destructive powers. (Fun side note: I’ve been rewatching from the beginning and Lion has those powers too - his roar is his main attack in his introductory episode; and another fun side note: there’s a scene where Steven yells about something (I can’t recall the episode) but the ground in front of him kind of...reacts like he blew on dust, I guess?? Idk just interesting)
ANYWAY yes, she was horrible in the beginning of her life. But so far, we’ve only seen 2 instances of this - the vision Steven had of her shattering the window, and Pink Pearl’s eye. But the important thing - the thing people are actively ignoring - is that she learned something. She realized she was acting immature and lashing out at people for her own anger, and she. Changed. Which is, as you know, one of the major themes of the entire series.
It honestly breaks my heart to see people hate on Rose just because of her past as PD. In the episode Lars and the Cool Kids, Lars insults Rose, saying it’s her fault they’re in danger, and Steven jumps to her defense, saying no that she saw beauty in everything, even gross things and mean people. She spent thousands of years on earth and she loved every aspect of it, even to her last day. This is how she wanted to be remembered.
But people will still think she’s this horrible person.
She killed Pink Diamond. She killed her, cut her off, and left her behind to live as Rose Quartz. And honestly, I don’t blame her.
