Is there separate school supply lists for each of the seven years a student spends at Ilvermorny?
Yes! The supply list depends entirely on the books and equipment required by each students' professors for each class. As those classes and professors change, so do the supplies needed. One obvious example is that Chadwick's Charms is specifically divided into seven volumes such that one is used in each year of Charms class.
On the other hand, even within years students' required supplies can be different. This is true for third-years and beyond as they begin to take different elective classes than others in their year. And the difference can be especially great in sixth- and seventh-years as they begin to follow paths to specific fields and careers. Thus, someone who hopes to become a Healer would have very different classes (and thus supplies) than one who is planning to become an Auror.
Thanks for asking!

Made a list of the school supplies I’ll need today for school in September, as I’ll likely be going shopping soon. I also did some reading today— the book is The Valiant by Lesley Livingston.
The last photo is of a few of my favourite books that I thought I would photograph.

Back To School Supplies
With the upcoming college/high school semesters soon, I figured y'all could use this.
1. Pens and pencils (obviously). I like to use the same color pen for all of my notes, it's a psychological thing that makes me feel more uniform, organized, and helps me remember it better. Also studies show that you're more likely to remember content written in blue pen than in any other color, so do with that what you will.
2. Two notebooks for each class: one for your in class notes (which can be slightly messier), and one for your at home notes (which should be more organized and neat).
3. Folders/binders for each class to keep all of your quizzes, tests, and worksheets.
4. Flashcards flashcards flashcards. Try to get different colored flashcards for each class/topic.
5. Whiteout if you use pens and can't stand messy notes like me.
6. Calculator, protacter, and compass for math subjects (if required/allowed)
7. Dry erase markers: sometimes my friends and I will study in empty classrooms, and using the boards can reslly help map out certain concepts.
8. Keep at least one sharpie marker on you for labelling and whatnot.
9. Scissors and a small tape dispenser/glue are always handy, just in case.
10. A small stapler should also be useful for essays and whatnot.
11. A laptop is essential for college notes. Typing out your notes, using quizlet and other helpful websites, and access to research sites and databases is insanely helpful.
12. Get a Google account. It includes helpful tools like Gmail, Google Drive, etc.
13. Extra stuff for your bag: hairbrush & hairtie, gum/mints, water bottle, nail file/clippers, and makeup wipes.
14. Always always always bring a laptop/phone charger for your devices.
15. Spare paper/looseleaf in a separate folder is useful.
16. Keep an agenda/planner for assignments, homework, and test dates. If you hate a paper copy, or have trouble remembering stuff even with a planner, try an app on your phone that sets reminders.
💞Thats all for now, good luck babes💞
The back to school season has always been my (only) favorite part of school.
However, since starting high school, not being given a list makes it slightly harder to prepare for the coming school year. That's why I've devised a list of things to do in order to prepare for the school year!
o L I S T S !
I know I know, starting off a list with lists? My favorite thing to do is make my supply and clothing list! I understand that not everyone buys clothes for the school year so go ahead and ignore this if you want but making a supply list is always helpful! I usually start by examining my classes and deciding how I want to stay organized in that class. For example, I might buy a binder for my bio class but a simple folder for my college 101 class or a grid notebook for my statistics course.
+ I usually like making a clothing list bc if I don't I'll go crazy (don't take me shopping)
o S L E E P
I won't dwell on this one because, well I'm sure you've been told this many times and no one actually follows it anyways (I don't even follow it soooo). But yea, try to sleep earlier if you want even if it's just ten minutes difference (or just stay up watching Suspicious Partner and Bride of the Water God like me).
o S C H E D U L E
If you're in college this might be more applicable to you but I would basically just look at your school schedule and figure out what time you have to wake up early and around what times you can leave and go back to campus. If you're in high school, middle school, or even elementary (but like if you are what are you doing on tumblr?) school then I would say know where your classrooms are and how to get there from each class and whatnot.
o C L U B S / A C T I V I T I E S / S P O R T S
Make sure you know what activities you want to sign up for and keep an eye out on what season during the school year they begin in. Also make time for it in your schedule and decide if it's really necessary for you to take (if you really enjoy it and want to be in it). It's not good to be involved in so many things either as it does take up your time!
o S U M M E R A S S I G N M E N T S
Make sure you have that summer reading and whatever other assignments done as well! Take this from someone who is a master in the art of procrastination: it's not fun reading an ENTIRE book and write an essay in two days!
That's pretty much it! I really love the back to school season and getting ready for school (of course a few weeks in I'm already dreading it tho). I hope this was of help to anyone reading it. I really want my study blog to be a helpful page for anyone who seeks it. If you have any requests or questions, please send them in! I'm happy to answer them :)

College Series #2 - Supply List
College Supply List
So you’ve bought all you needed for your dorm room, now all you need to do is gather some supplies for classes and studying. When it comes to supplies, it’s pretty much to each their own because not everyone feels that they need all the same stuff; some need more while some only want less.
Books
You’re going to need textbooks, depending on your class but here’s the major tip: DO NOT BUY ANY BOOKS UNTIL YOUR PROFESSOR CONFIRMS THAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY NEED THEM. Some Professors on the first day will tell you if you’ll need the book or not or how much you’ll actually use them. You’ll save yourself the struggle and money if you just wait. But of course there’s always that one professor who will email you a few days before telling you you’ll need it for the first day so there’s your exception. Once you figure out the book situation, just know that renting is the cheapest option unless for some reason you have to buy the book. If you do rent, only rent from the bookstore as a last resort. Check out Amazon Book Rentals, Chegg Books, or Campus Book Rentals.
Also know that if you need a book that requires an online code for homework, you’ll have no choice but to buy the new book because if you rent a book that’s supposed to have a code, you won’t be able to use an already used code. Therefore, you’ll have to rent the book and then buy the code separately and they do not come cheap. I once rented an algebra for around $50 but had to buy the code for $90, and it was because I didn’t know about all the above. So yourself the struggle.
Other Supplies
Now that we’ve gotten the most important supply out of the way, the rest self-explanatory:
· Folder
· Binder (You’ll get lots of handouts from classes and it’s important to save them)
· Planner* (The most important supply after books)
· Tab Dividers
· Notebooks (Some like having one 5-subject for all classes and some like individual notebooks for each class)
· Pencils
· Pens (Aim for multi-colored ones as well)
· Highlighters
· Sharpies
· White-Out (If you write in pen a lot, you’ll need this)
· Sticky Notes (This can be used to make mental notes or to annotate while reading)
· Index Cards (To help study of course)
· Paper Clips
· Stapler (Don’t be that kid who tries to pass in essays without it stapled. Most classrooms and professors don’t have staplers)
· Printer Paper
· Ink
· Calculator (Scientific if you’re taking a math or chemistry class)
· Flash Drive
· Dry Erase Markers
Other
· Lanyard
· White Board Calendar
