people shouldn’t change their profile pictures to support paris/france
anyone who cares about human life should be supporting beirut and baghdad as much as paris. isis was responsible for all 3 attacks, and just because these attacks happen in a part of the world many of us may not be familiar with, it does not lessen the severity of the violence. this kind of violence happens with alarming regularity in the middle east, and the world doesn’t lift a finger. don’t change your profile picture to support france. if you want to show real support for humanity, change your outlook to start caring about more than the West. innocent people die everyday under non-democratic regimes, and the fact that they may have a different religion than you does not excuse your cherry-picking of who you choose to “support” with your social media tokens. you are not making a difference
