Thank you!
I wanted to thank everyone who reblogged my post about charities for France and support we were able to give to them. I hope that even though it’s not something big, we could help just a little.
So thank you to everyone! :)

Support Paris
I got this thoughtful newletter from Netted:
“With respect to Friday's horrific attacks, we are suspending our regular newsletter today. Our hearts go out to all those in Paris in their time of need. Here are 3 ways you can help, no matter where you are in the world.
Blood Donation: For those in or near Paris who are able to donate blood, download the Don du Sang à Paris mobile app to find your nearest donor center. If you are not in Paris, spread the word about the need for blood with a link to this helpful app.
Provide Shelter: If you’re in or near Paris and can provide a place to stay for victims, use hashtag #PorteOuverte on Twitter and Facebook to let people know you have an “open door.” Similarly, hosts are providing free lodgings through AirBnB’s Disaster Relief program. Spread the word on your social networks to help Parisians find comfort and shelter. And if you’re in the US, you can welcome Parisians, who may still be stranded due to flight cancellations, into your home with this hashtag: #StrandedInUS.
Donate Money: Several organizations are being mentioned as places you can donate to help victims in Paris. However, not all accept international credit cards, and several do not have funds set up specifically for victims. We suggest you check Charity Navigator orGuideStar for information on specific charitable organizations before donating, and contact those orgs to ensure your funds are going to their intended place.
We spoke directly with Friends of Fondation de France, which will have information up on its website later today about how you can donate to support peace efforts and social services in Paris related to the attacks.”
Dear people making fun of those of us who changed our profile pictures on facebook to show our support to Paris,
None of us thought changing our picture would make some huge difference or end terrorism. We saw something tragic happen and we wanted to show our support and sympathy in some way to those who were involved. Why you find this funny or something to make fun of I have no idea. Maybe you have nothing better to do than insult people for no damn reason, you can’t manage to keep your unwanted negative opinions to yourself, or maybe you can’t grasp the simple concept that even the smallest act of kindness can leave an impact on someone’s life. Who knows.

Just some perspective
The death toll in France stands at around 132.
That's 132 people; moms, dads, sons, daughters (ect.)
That number may seem small to you, but to those affected families, just 1 death is detrimental.
So when you say you don't care about what's going on in France, just think of the call a mother has to receive with news her daughter/son was murdered when attending an Eagles Concert.
Now picture 131 more of those phone calls.
Some people aren't going to care until the death is at their doorstep, and that is really sad. Tragedies like these should bring people together, not cause conflict amongst who should be supporting whom. I'm tired of all these post about people should be praying for their hometown because people die every day. That is fine, but don't be insensitive about the deaths that have occurred just because the deaths in your area aren't being intensely publicized in the media.
To all the “hashtag activists”:
The people of France deserve more than your hollow cop-out of “thoughts and prayers”. They deserve action. It is not “all you have to offer”. You have an immense power at your fingertips - the ability to research and promote information on how people can actually help, even if you can’t. It requires an iota of work and has the potential to make a huge difference.
You can donate to the Red Cross/Red Crescent which has people out in Paris and sends people out during crises. http://www.ifrc.org/en/get-involved/donate/
This is a blood donation service if you happen to be in France: http://www.dondusang.net/…/blo…/locate-a-blood-donation.htm…
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Paris today. We stand with our allies. Ndyapparel.com
people shouldn’t change their profile pictures to support paris/france
anyone who cares about human life should be supporting beirut and baghdad as much as paris. isis was responsible for all 3 attacks, and just because these attacks happen in a part of the world many of us may not be familiar with, it does not lessen the severity of the violence. this kind of violence happens with alarming regularity in the middle east, and the world doesn’t lift a finger. don’t change your profile picture to support france. if you want to show real support for humanity, change your outlook to start caring about more than the West. innocent people die everyday under non-democratic regimes, and the fact that they may have a different religion than you does not excuse your cherry-picking of who you choose to “support” with your social media tokens. you are not making a difference
