Knoll wasn’t necessarily a lover of music. While he didn’t mind listening to it, a lot of his time was spent in the quiet of his library and not much noise was present there. Still, he found himself entranced with the singing and dancing of this girl, who didn’t seem to have noticed him quite yet.

So he waited in silence, until she was done, then clapped quietly, trying not too make too much noise and startle her. “While I certainly have no experience when it comes to dancing, I must say your dance was.....interesting to watch....” Interesting wasn’t quite the word he wanted to use but it would do.

"Hey Knoll, it's- ah, it's been a while. Sorry 'bout that. How are you doing?"

"Oh. Shinon!" Knoll blinked. A little bit startled at suddenly being approached. He tucked a loose strand of hair behind his ear and smiled. Just a little bit. "It's quite alright. I assume you're rather busy. I've been alright. I've mostly been keeping busy myself. What about you? Are you doing alright?"

Knoll didn’t....interact with Tethys much. The dancer intimidated him. Probably more than a dancer should, actually. But, much like Light Magic users, he preferred to stay away. Just to be safe. Safe from what...well he wasn’t actually all that sure.

So when he ran into her on his way to see if he could track down any new tomes in the town they had stopped in....Well...He wasn’t really sure how to react. Keeping his eyes on the ground, he pushed a lock of hair under his hood and stumbled over an apology.

Knoll was becoming known to practice magic in the area around Grado Keep. The larger things that couldn’t be done in a practice room, at least. Which is what he was doing now. Four large sigils were written out on the ground around him. Reaching his arms out and up, he started speaking. Words to a spell long forgotten.

He was about halfway through, the sigils glowing bright on the ground, when a tremor hit the area, shaking the mage and breaking his concentration. A small explosion burst from each sigil as Knoll fell over, catching his breath on the ground.

“Fantastic...” He muttered, slowly picking himself up. With a slightly irritated look around him at the cracked ground and now useless sigils, he began to clean up.

“Spying is rude, you know, and you are not very good at it.” He called over his shoulder after a minute, straightening to look at the girl who seemed to be attempting to hide nearby.

Walking up to see someone strung up in a net trap wasn’t how Knoll expected his day to go. Honestly, he could say he thought he’d ever see someone actually caught in such a thing. It was almost impressive.

“Do....Do you need assistance?” He called up to the girl stuck there. Who even had put this kind of trap so close to Grado Keep anyway?

“Fascinating...” Knoll couldn’t help but stare. He had seen manaketes before, having been around Myrrh for a short while. Though he had never spoken to her, he had seen her transform in the past. And now this girl in front of him could do the same. And her dragon form was completely different.

Cautiously, he stepped forward, journal clutched in his hands. “Ex....excuse me. Hello, yes. I have a request, if you wouldn’t mind.”

Knoll had never spoken to Saleh. He’d seen the sage speak to Eirika and others in the group, but had never brought up the nerve to speak to him himself. Still, Saleh was a powerful magic user, a powerful magic user who seemed to have his wits about him when it came to people. As far as Knoll could tell, most magic users (Ewan notwithstanding) seemed to have issues connecting to people. Himself and Lute were the first to come to mind.

“Um...Excuse me...Saleh?” Knoll addressed him quietly. Maybe a little too quietly but he was nervous. He stepped a little closer and nearly tripped over his own robes. This was an embarrassing introduction.

Wandering around Renais Castle was not Knoll’s idea of fun. It was, actually, the exact opposite of fun. But he had to find Ephraim and he really didn’t want to bother anyone with his silly fumblings. He’d quite forgotten why he’d needed to find Ephraim in the first place now, though.

The mage tugged his hood a little further over his face and turned a corner. Just before he turned, he had to pull up short and nearly tumbled into Ephraim himself. “Ah! Prince Ephraim! I have been looking for you, I did not think I would find you.”
