Needed something refreshing after a day of yard work. Went with Double Hybrid Blackberry Sour by Coda Brewing. It was perfect. Not overly sour, nor sweet. Enough blackberry to let you know it is there… nice clean finish.

Had a work function for the evening. We went to Great Divide. Had Horchata Yeti (pictured) and Collette. Both were delicious. If I had to choose the best it would be the Horchata as stouts are my first love. The cinnamon and chocolate with dark fruit was sensuous and delicious. We stopped after work at someplace I have wanted to try for a while; El Rancho Brewing Co. It was really delicious. The bison burgers were perfectly cooked, crispy fried brussles sprouts delicious, green chili creamed corn worthy of attempting to duplicate 😄, and the chipotle ketchup very fun. To drink was Skellig Michael - an Irish Red, The Pale Rider - a Pale Ale, and Cerveza Del Rancho - a Mexican Lager. All solid brews designed to pair with a meal and sip while enjoying a terrific view. I think this one is a winner, and considering it was busy on a Tuesday night others do to.

Had a friend over for dinner last night and for dessert we had decedent chocolate brownies and vanilla porter by Someplace Else Brewery. Wow. Over the top pairing... the vanilla and dark fruit of the porter with the luscious almost bitter brownies. Not going to lie. Mexican food for dinner and Coda Brewing to go with it. Town Hall Helles Lager on the right and Sunset Fader Hazy IPA. The lager is so deliciously Munich you would swear you are drinking in the Hofbräuhaus, while the hazy IPA has the right notes of juicy and a little creamy. Wallonian Dreams Rye Saison by Coda Brewing with our impromptu charcuterie board outside in the cool evening. Very nice after a hot day. Peppery, a bit of funk, really pairs well with meats, cheeses, olives and the rest. Worth a taste if you have the opportunity.

First day of a long weekend and spent the day hiking and gardening. On the way back we stopped at Coda Brewing to pick up a growler and some 4 packs. Decided a late day bite and taster would be good when we saw the food truck; Rumichaka Eats - Peruvian street food. We had Pollo y Papas (really good) and the Four Sticks Bourbon Barrel Russian Imperial Stout as a taster. Later in the evening sitting out in the cool we shared Daytime Disco Poolside Kolsch (pictured). All really good. Coda does a rocking solid job. I really like this Golden Brewery.

Cool, rainy, snowy evening. Decided on making comfort food. What is more comforting then good beer? Sophia Amber Ale by Westminster Brewing was the choice. Biscuity and malty with a pretty caramel color.
