Had a friend over for dinner last night and for dessert we had decedent chocolate brownies and vanilla porter by Someplace Else Brewery. Wow. Over the top pairing... the vanilla and dark fruit of the porter with the luscious almost bitter brownies. Not going to lie. The second beer from Someplace Else Brewery is Kentucky Common. Since the fill was several days ago I hooked up my CO2 tap and charger to my growler. It worked great! The beer was solid as well. Malty, sweet, caramel, easy to drink. It pairs well with grilled food.
Trying out another local in Arvada; Someplace Else Brewery. Picked up 2 growlers and a mixed 4 pack to taste. This a fun little brewery that is very family friendly (the pinball machines are a big win). Tonight we broke out the Raspberry Cream Ale. Interesting and nicely complex. A little tart, some citrus hiding on the palate, and a smooth finish. Pairs really well with summery BBQ. I can hardly wait to try the other.
