#SupportYourLocalWitchGang Project
good morning darlings~ i have had a thing on my mind for a little bit that i think needs sharing.
you may have noticed lately that i have been sharing posts from @theprettypadawan to boost her etsy shop and help her in a time of need. i know that these posts can be triggering for some--in all honesty, they are for me, and seeing them brings feelings here i won't discuss. i ordinarily won't reblog them because it makes me extremely uncomfortable and risks panic attacks or spirals, in short; however, evelyn's posts called to me through that, and as a hearth witch and a healer, a good deal of my magick revolves around helping others and ensuring they are taken care of.
"but c., you can't take care of others if you're still mired in your own mental health!" yes, you are absolutely correct, and neither can you, sweetling. so i propose the #SupportYourLocalWitchGang Project. any time that I reblog a post where another witch may cry for help, or where i boost a shop, i am going to tag it with the above hashtag so that anyone who needs to can blacklist it. but supporting your local witch gang isn't just about boosting; it's also respecting boundaries and knowing that not everyone can help even if they want to, and knowing that some things, for reasons undisclosed, make us incredibly uncomfortable and guilting someone into reblogging by saying such things as "you're a terrible person if you don't..." is not how you support others.
#SYLWG🔮 will also be a key for me boosting witchy shops or blogs that are interesting and worth sharing. while connected to the larger hashtag, this tag is not meant to attach to cry for help scenarios, so it remains a way for people to blacklist the things that may trigger them while still supporting their local witch gang by checking out magick tools and art made by their resident witches ♡.
please note that in the interest of mental health, not every post that comes across a dash is guaranteed to get a boost or a reblog, but if I feel the energy pull, this is how I will be tagging these posts from now on ♡.
