Okay, so I don’t know if this is common knowledge but in case it’s not
Uterus owners, it’s totally normal to miss a period, or even several periods, after a surgery. Even if the surgery was nowhere near any reproductive organs — I’ve had two foot surgeries and missed several periods after both.
The reason for this is basically your body gets all confused and panicked at the invasion and temporarily shuts down some non-essential functions. If you want a more science-y explanation read this or this
