Day 73; How to survive a Global pandemic
Welcome to 2021! What a few years it has been! If you know what I mean? I can’t help but think that this Pandemic has truly changed us all. Some for the better, then some not. Personally, I have found the pandemic to help in many areas of my life. I’ve had more time to myself to actually become a plant mum. Who would’ve thought? Grew lots of herbs and exotic flowers over the summer periods. Most people have gained a hobby or two, since having to self isolate or even just restrict their social life. For the extroverts out there. I fully understand how your mental health has deteriorated. You rely on social interactions in order to feel comfortable with existence. Yet; all you introverts, well, you’re doing pretty well and dandy. Social restrictions, more alone time, curfews which are well within reason. Sounds like an introverts heaven. There have been a few things in which I’ve discovered which has helped me survive this Global pandemic. Of course I would like to share this with you.
Firstly, it’s important to always be mindful of your present moment. Always be aware of what you have in this exact moment of thought. Push yourself! Don’t give up on yourself just because others cannot see your exterior! Put that make-up on, put those nice trousers or shirts on!
If for example, your only achievement of the day was getting showered and dressed, then be grateful you have clean clothes to put on and a hot shower to get into etc.
Secondly as it is important to be grateful, it’s truly important to practice exercise. Now just because the gyms are closed, does not mean you can excuse yourself. There are several creative ways you can work out at home and get the same results! We are living in the 21st century and there are hundreds of videos in which you can watch, to learn something new within a few minutes! There is no excuse! Thirdly another idea which can help you survive, is make sure you are keeping in touch with family and friends. I’ve been guilty of this, it is quite hard to make sure you are contacting them, especially when you have your own life to live. Just do it, don’t make excuses. If there has been anything this pandemic has taught me, it’s never to waste time. Especially not with loved ones. Lastly, you can improve your local community by acting selfless. For example, if you were to decide to volunteer for your local support groups, donate clothes to charity shops or even give food to neighbours as a sign of appreciation. This can help you survive the global pandemic in such a small scale. Yet, it has the biggest affects. Not only are you helping those around you, who may be less fortunate than you, you are also being economical and supporting your own mental health, by the act of giving.
It’s seriously a win-win! I do hope that this post helped you to discover some ways in which you can too survive a Global pandemic!
