This is a strange album that is hard to describe, but I would best say that it leans on the side of avant-garde metal with doom metal atmospheric aprts, power metal vocals and varied keyboards. The composer is Gregg Rossetti, the mastermind behind Suspyre's album When Time Fades!
Silliness aside, here's the best progressive/symphonic power metal band I know. This album was the height of their career, before their guitarist left and their composing style changed.
A friend recommended Suspyre and what a great track. Heavy like I like it with some nice softer parts for contemplation. Adding them to my list of music to own.
Thankfully the singer doesn't scream. I am one of the few metal fans who doesn't care for the sound of a screaming singer.
