Kippa's mother Suzzi, one of the many lives lost when the Thaumanova Reactor explosion deep underground destroyed the city of Rata Thauma in Metrica Province. She was Kippa's mother and Steward Gixx's only sister, a well respected and loved professor at the College of Agronometrics, and a skilled agricultural engineer. Her loss is felt by many, but by no one more than her oldest daughter. Her only surviving child.
While the loss of Rata Thauma affects Kippa on a significant level, the loss of her mother just days after they'd had a massive argument, leaving those words spoken in anger the last things they ever said to each other, is a constant weight on her shoulders.
