Artistic Campaign Sets Lennox Apart from the Competition
Show an artist a creative campaign and you are guaranteed an immediate peak of interest. After watching a video introduction to Lennox Heating and Cooling Systems, I had to find out more about how the #lennoxartproject developed.
Lennox Residential has heating, cooling and air quality systems. Lennox air conditioning and heating products provide industry firsts with the SunSource Home Energy System, most energy-efficient products and reliable warranties. For this particular campaign the Lennox company wanted to stress one of the key features of their products which is it's quietness. That's why I absolutely love the idea of the dragon in the commercial. Dragon's do not like to be disturbed! You do remember what happened to the hobbit when he woke the dragon,right?! All mayhem broke loose and well that's how I feel when I turn on our air conditioning system. Because of the size of our home, we need two units and when they run it first sounds like a jet engine is starting up to roar. Now multiply that by two and gone is the peace and quiet I need to think and paint!
After seeing the video and the much sleeker design of the Lennox air conditioning unit I was also reminded of my sad attempt to make my two A/C units look nicer. To the utmost shock of my husband, I painted both of those ugly A/C units green, right after we moved in. I think that's almost 20 years ago! Since I got into sooo much trouble for doing that, ever since then I just keep trying to hide them behind plants. There is a restraining order out on me getting anywhere near those units with a paint brush! Don't believe me? Just look at the photo below and see for yourself. Everytime I walk past those A/C units I cringe and now that I have spend some time learning about the Lennox Air Conditioning systems , the difference between the monstrous green old units and the new sleek looking Lennox unit, becomes even more apparent.
Another reason the campaign has resonated with me so much is this. For the last couple of summers, the dragon in my home, also knows as dear hubby, has been spewing fire everytime he hears the a/c running, because it reminds him of our out of control, high electric bill. So instead of running our a/c we fan ourselves and each other or jump in the pool! I know, it's ridiculous to have an two air conditioning units that you cannot run, but our bills sky rocket the minute we try to keep the a/c on, and it just doesn't make sense. That's why I have been looking for more efficient cooling systems like the Lennox Elite Series XC16 for example, which provides a two stage design. The Lennox A/C units distinguish between mild and extremely hot days, using only the energy necessary to keep you comfortable. By mostly running at low stages, the A/C unit avoids temperature swings in order to reduce energy usage that lead to those crazy spikes on our utility bills. With efficiency ratings up to 17.20 SEER (Stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), money can be saved on utility bills. My sanity will definitely be saved and our homely dragon won't even notice when we are cooling down the house, which probably will add many years to his life expectancy due to reduced stress!
Back to SEER, that's worth investigating more. So the idea behind a energy efficient unit is to find one that has a rating higher than 13.00 SEER. The higher this number is the more energy you can save. The Lennox XC16 carries ratings as high as 17.20. Lennox product have earned the Energy Star, which means they have met or exceeded guidelines set forth by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The XC16 has a scroll compressor which uses chlorine-free R-410A refrigerant., which meets the U.S. EPA's most stringent environmental guidelines. Lennox was one of the first HVCA manufacturers that developed R-410A as an alternative to R-22 (freon).
Allergy Relief on Warm Days
Everyone in our home has allergies that flare up at different times of the year. The XC16 is designed to work with the Humiditrol whole-home dehumidification system. The humiditrol technology helps reduce humid conditions ( oh it gets humid in So CAL!) and it lessens the potential for mold and mildew growth.
So my next campaign will be fought at the home front! I need to start convincing hubby that our old units can be retired. Until 2016 it is possible to receive an Energy Tax Credit .
