We’ve been melting away as avid fans to SVFARI’s music for nearly half a year, but this week brought us a twist we could not have predicted despite our zeal for the emerging R&B pop singer songwriter’s music. Turns out, SVFARI and English pop sensation Elyar (aka Elyar Fox) are one and the same. Elyar has now released his debut solo EP to the elation of his droves of fans, and it’s entitled, what else, but SVFARI. The EP includes all three SVFARI songs we’ve eagerly shared previously, plus this sweet molten, luxuriously heartrending ballad, The Birds. My own heart feels like a fluttering bird, ready to fly out of my chest as Elyar serenades us with his buttery chiffon voice, skating effortlessly over a bed of Balearic chiming, future rippling production akin to those of Mura Masa and Jamie xx.
