Svirdilu and I did an art trade!! In exchange for this In Stars and Time themed sketchbook, they sent me these BEAUTIFUL hand-carved linocut blocks of the boys!! AHHHH!!! Here is my first print run all laid out:

If you were to design a Terrible RH OC, what would they be like?

This might be the worst RH ask I’ve ever gotten, thanks. :::PPP

As we all know, the most terrible OCs happen when someone takes the surface level elements of a work, makes them all about the OC, and then stomps all over the rules of those elements and every other thing about the story beyond what you’d get from skimming the Wikipedia page. For maximum annoyance, they show the main characters up by doing everything they do better, and solve all the problems with only the most superficial of efforts. Then the story acts smug about how the character/author is so much smarter than the canon characters/original author.

Basically what I’m saying here is that the Most Terrible RH OC is “Marty McFly shows up in the middle of the story, declares that he’s going to do what everyone has been too stupid to do forever, goes back in time to before the empire collapses and shoots somebody responsible for causing the mana breach with an AK he brought from Earth, and everyone laments his tragic self-sacrifice as he fades out of existence because if there was never a problem, he would never have come here. The fact that everyone else should fade from existence rather more completely and permanently is never addressed.”

I forget if you've discussed this before; if not, please discuss: RH Warbreaker AU. (stocke: is a returned. also stocke: is enough of a bleeding-heart to give up his breath on his first day, let's be honest)

Stocke would be the worst Returned. He would last exactly as long as it took for him to run into a small child with a terminal illness. Or, failing that, exactly seven days, at which point he would go “nope nope nope” and find a small child with a terminal illness.

He is not emotionally cut out for vampirism. :::PPP

Apparently. Sonja probably keeps having to resist the urge to order him to comb his hair. :::PPP (As well as the urge to brush his hair out of his eyes that approximately 50% of everyone who knows him experiences at some point.)

You reblogged Good Omens. That means I need to ask for Ace Attorney animations for Crowley and Aziraphale, clearly.

CLEARLY.

Crowley does the anime glasses shine thing with his sunglasses as one of his base animations. When he flinches his glasses start to slip and he has to catch them before they slip down his nose, and when he’s seriously damaged they DO slip and you can get a glimpse of his eyes for a moment. When he’s cornered he looks to the side a lot, and in some of those animations his tongue is visibly forked. Smoke rises off him when AA characters would usually sweat buckets. During his breakdown, his glasses break and the smoke poofs out into the shape of wings, then he turns into a snake and bolts.

Aziraphale’s default animations are “reading a book,” “vaguely prayerful-looking pose with hands together and eyes closed,” and “look of vague distant goodwill that suggests he’d probably rather be reading a book, and in fact has one under his arm just in case the opportunity presents itself.” His damage flinch has the pages of his book flipping really fast and him frantically trying to find his place again. When cornered, he starts doing dramatic poses and gestures with an invisible sword and a convenient beam of light conspires to keep lighting up the area around his head. …I’m trying to think of breakdown animations, but it doesn’t feel RIGHT to do anything but that time he got ~banished~, and that wouldn’t work in an Ace Attorney story framework. :::PPP
