Here’s an example of how Swagbucks works better than you thought.
We recently took advantage of QVC’s Today’s Special Value, which was two Amazon FireTV 4K units for $74.95. (They don’t have the dual set anymore, but here’s one FireTV 4K for a good price; yes you can buy it on Amazon but you won’t get SB back for it).
Each FireTV came with a voucher for three things:
3 months of Pandora Premium (their highest leveled plan)
$25 SlingTV credit (which can cover one month of service)
3 months of service from Grokker (haven’t explored this yet)
So, of course, we activated the Swagbutton when ordering on QVC. With the larger % cashback during Cyber Week, we now have 225SB headed back to us as cash back from our purchase. So that’s a discount on top of the deal QVC had on its own.
Then, we go to SlingTV and activate the Swagbutton for 250SB. We redeemed our voucher code for a $25 credit, which counted as a full-on purchase (we had to enter our credit card info to complete the transaction* ). We now have another 250SB pending for that from Swagbucks.
In an unrelated moment: Hulu was offering a year of service (without Live TV) for 99¢/mo. That’s $11.88 for a year’s worth of Hulu. Not bad considering it’s about that per month. We activated the Swagbutton, signed up (we were a qualifying returning customer), and not only got the 99¢/mo deal, but got an instant 2500 Swagbucks on our ledger. Not even pending, but instant! Swagbucks paid us $25 to join Hulu. So that paid for Hulu and gave us another $13.12 on top as free and clear money.

We’re even fans of ordering things on Target’s site then picking it up later that day (same day pickup). Because we go through the website and activate the Swagbutton, that purchase counts toward money back. So we not only spend 90 seconds in Target instead of 90 minutes (which frees up our day), but we’re getting cash back just for shopping online first. Walmart has a pick-up option as well and you can activate the Swagbutton for that, too. (Recent Target.com cashback: 80SB)
It pays to use the Swagbutton when shopping for almost anything online. Join SB if you haven’t already. If you haven’t, why?
* For these trial periods on things, set a reminder on your phone or other smart devices to remind you a day or two ahead to cancel the service. For Hulu, we have already set a reminder for November 2019 to cancel if you don’t want to continue. Same for SlingTV in 29 days (the cycle is 31 days).
