Does anyone know any Swedish pet names? Like I found Sötis, which translations tells me is the equivalent of darling or sweetie.

I’m trying to find terms used in the 1900s that male students of Durmstrang could call Newt. It’s located around Norway or Sweden so I figured students would be from northern Europe mostly. 

But would Sötis be a ok term for them to call Newt, who is small and sweet and very good a dick sucking? 

I’ve checked multiple translators and forums but I’m always paranoid about using other languages.

Swedish perifrastic passive question

So the perifrastic passive form takes an adjective ending, right? So if it refers to a plural it should take ‘-da’. Husen var byggda vs Huset var byggt.

So WHY is ‘Vi blev rånad av några killar’ take ‘-d’ instead of ‘-da’. ‘Vi’ is plural. (I do think that ‘rånada’ does not look right at all, but I would like to understand the rules as I am trying to make sure I understand them) <3 ???

Vad är en tillgiven namn eller smeknamn för en katt? På engelska vi säger ‘kitty’, ‘puss’, eller till och med ‘moggy’ (betyder inte renrasig). Jag ber eftersom en av mina katter heter ‘Little Puss’ (frågar inte...) och jag är intressant vad hennes namn skulle bli på svenska.

Swedish: V2 rule versus questions

How do you differentiate between a question starting with a question word (then a verb), and a phrase starting with a question word and then a verb? For example: ‘När kommer du’ - does this mean ‘When you come’, or ‘When are you coming?’. How would I differentiate between them?  Or have I got something wrong?

Hey Swedes/knowers of the Swedish language!!! How would you say ‘walk’? I know ‘går’ but as far as I understand it more carries the meaning of ‘go’ 

So what I want to know is, how would you specify the movement of walking (i.e. rather than running, standing, sitting, skipping, etc.)?
