The Chillin’ Villain lounge had quickly become one of Harley’s favorite places, so much so that she found herself here on most nights. Sometimes with people she knew, sometimes getting stupid drunk off drinks she didn’t purchase herself or sometimes it was just to hang out and see what happened.

Tonight was different. She was in a certain kind of mood... she wanted to cause a little trouble. She’d been behaving the last few days and she’d decided it was time for that to change.

She stood at the bar when another woman caught her attention. She was cute, too; definitely someone who could help cause a little chaos. She had to be into that, right? Why else would she be here?

“It’s kinda quiet tonight, don’tcha think?” Harley commented idly, playing with the paper umbrella decorating her cocktail. “Wanna liven the place up a li’l? It’ll be fun!”

i realized i'm going to need more time than a hiatus allows, so i'm dropping bad girl (house 110) and jeane (condo 418) from no more heroes. i apologize to those i was threading with.

Both have been dropped!

Somehow, this was even less charming than the last time the entire environment had changed. For one so used to just being able to go wherever she pleased whenever she pleased it, being stuck in... This mess, was beyond aggravating. At least that fantasy debacle was charming at first, with the city in this sorry state then she couldn’t even find somewhere to relax or unwind. 

Not to mention those things that wandered about.

Without knowing how long this was going to last she was hesitant to jump away the instant anything did arise. Not to mention in this ruined setting she was unaware of how many different appropriate surfaces where still intact. She had a flooded street and... That was about it. Also it was hot and far too sandy for her tastes. 

“Rebecca, I’m glad to see you’re prepared darling, but you’re gripping that bat so tightly it’s almost making me anxious.”

Of course, another reason she didn’t want to just bamf away at the first opportunity was because her friend here had no such ability. She was also admittedly a lot safer beside her right now, but if asked that was just a bonus.

“Don’t tell me you’ve heard something. Well, actually do if you have. Maybe we should get moving regardless.”

THE WILD WHERE THEY SHOULDN’T BE // DREAMSCAPE

An oddly luxurious mansion, a kitchen’s secret dining room away from all else. 

In the mansion’s foyer itself, distant people talk and laugh among themselves. Men  and women of high status, decorated in military emblems and awards. Their wives gossiping among themselves over wine and hors d'oeuvres. They spoke to each other in various lax manners, hardly any of them noticed as a tall young boy weaved through them, slipping through the doors and stuffing anything he can get his hands on in the busy kitchen into his mouth and pockets.

Unlocking the door to the small dining room, squared away from everything else, set with a small dinner. But by his secrecy, you can tell it’s not meant for him. Compared to tidy luxury, he’s unkempt by his own accord, having been groomed by force and disliking it. Though he starts his feast, he nearly chokes on a game fowl’s leg as he dips under the table. Hitting his chin on the way down.

The doors had opened, and someone else walked in. Someone else who looked like they didn’t belong in such a place.

            “ ...huh. i think this might be my first time having a beer that didn’t cost hundred, and didn’t taste like a bunch of chemicals masked under a label that said “beer”. guess coming here isn’t all bad experiences. ”

it wasn’t usually her style to do this, but-- she looks over at the woman next to her. “...you have any recommendations? this is a good opportunity for me to drink things not made out of the same five chemical ingredients.”

      “You sure you’re in the right place, creampuff?” While part of her very much understands that looks can be deceiving, she can’t bring herself to care. Not when this chick is sitting there looking like an over-frosted sweet-sixteen cake. “Or are you just looking to have a real bad time?”

   “No, I would prefer to NOT go into detail about the adorning on my forehead.” By adorning, he meant that large ‘N’ stuck to his cranium. Protectively, he covers it up, shying away from the woman who had come to ask him about it so suddenly. He had just been observing the radiocats in Fibonacci, perplexed and wondering what form they would take if they were subjected to his Evolvo-ray. Certainly something amusing in his mind, but his solitude was brief as this woman came to look at them as well, and him by extension. At first, he didn’t mind her accompanying him. He tolerated it for a moment, but then that dreaded question had arose. ‘Why do you have an ‘N’ on your head?’ Well she had asked it a bit differently than that, but the point still stood. Despite the large letter being there for everyone to see, no one’s really directly asked him about it.

   Until now. Funny, isn’t it? Neo very much thought of himself as a picture of perfection. Statues, stain glass windows and paintings of himself had decorated his halls back home. The ‘mugshots’ of himself back home had captured his good side in his own words. Physically, there wasn’t a thing about himself he hated. Not even that Letter N. But when it was questioned? “If you must know, It’s just an initial.” He wasn’t entirely lying. But he wasn’t telling the whole truth either. “That’s all. Now...”

   “Why do you want to know that?” He's setting himself up for a bit of a chat whether he realized it or not.
