I saw a video on TikTok of a girl saying that when she’s with her boyfriend she doesn’t use her brain and I instantly thought of boyfriend!Matheo and sweetheart!Reader where hes casually dominant with her and it makes her feel like she doesn’t have to use her brain around him.

the thing with sweetheart!reader is EVERYONE thinks she’s completely mindless all the time (she’s ditzy, bubbly and just whimsy! it’s so not her fault) but actually her mind is SO LOUD all the time - she’s an anxious girl and she overthinks a lot despite her unearned confidence
but with mattheo, he makes her feel so okay and he makes her mind so quiet. when she’s with him, she babbles nonsense without caring if she’s being interesting enough - because mattheo finds everything she says interesting <3
also i imagine that mattheo leads sweetheart!reader by the hand a lot to go places, so she just continues her ramble on how she “saw a black cat that looked just like you, mattheo!” while he yanks her away from moving traffic and weaves her around the busy hallways. she giggles when she nearly knocks into something sharp while mattheo feels his hair turning white. she pouts when he scolds her then laughs as she tells him “but you wouldn’t let anything bad happen to me, would you, matty?” and he rolls his eyes but he melts for her and they both know he really wouldn’t.

i fear there may be inconsistencies throughout the series because this timeline was NOT clear for me when i first started writing it lol <3 hope this makes sense to you!
(of course it's a self insert so you can ignore all of this but these are just consistent details/backstory that i have in the back of my mind while writing)

♡ side note/extra lore: pansy and blaise (who i head canon to be a very chill person) started dating at the end of fifth year - they're so parents
♡ you and mattheo met in the second academic term of sixth year
♡ however, mattheo has liked you since he sat near you on the train in third year (you didn't notice him at the time because he was quiet and tried to hide from everbody)
♡ also! you became friends with theo in fifth year because there was this one time when you both were the only ones in detention (he got caught smoking and you got dress coded, probably) and you had a nice conversation with him where he thought you were the sweetest and most entertaining person he had ever met
♡ that was kind of that, though, you never really spoke to him - other than a brief "hello" - after that
♡ but becoming closer with mattheo led to you spending more time around theo and he quickly became like a brother to you
♡ he thinks you’re like the younger sister he never had (though he’s only a few months older)

it’s been one whole year since i started this side blog + posted the first ever sweetheart!reader fic !!!
i initially posted it on my main blog (that was basically a graveyard/archive of my years on tumblr for myself) thinking nobody was going to see it and when people started interacting with it, i started this new side blog for a fresh start <3 never have i ever thought i’d write SO much and grow to have people who actually want to read what i write!! it’s very very insane. my favourite part has been waking up and seeing a new message in my inbox or a notification that someone commented on one of my posts.
i was feeling a little burnt out from life in general late last year so i took a little break from tumblr and i honestly wasn’t sure if i would ever return because i just felt so uninspired. i’m so happy that i’m at a place where i love writing again <3 thank you for all of your requests — keep them coming!! <3
