This is an idea I had a while back but I know I'll never get round to writing it with all the other things I'm working on, but maybe you'll like it??
Eddie Munson x Reader - you & Eddie have been dating for a few months in secret. You begin to suspect that it's because he's embarrassed of you (in my mind it's because reader is plus size but could be whatever reason!). When you confront him you find out that he's been hiding you because he's worried of the repercussions that you'll face when people know you're dating the town freak.
Hello! I plan on doing all the ones you sent me. I'm working on feeling Argyles voice. But that's why it's a challenge. This one just came to me so nicely, though, so I decided to start with this one. I hope it hits the spot you were looking for.

You looked yourself up and down in the full-length mirror in your bedroom. Wondering just what it was that made you an embarrassment. You had on a pretty, flowy teal dress that complimented your complexion and your curves. Your hair was fixed nicely, and your makeup was subtle but nice.
You couldn't help the little pout of your lips as you thought, 'it's something about me.' But you'd gotten ready for your date night, only for Eddie to come with movies and dinner in hand.
"You look amazing, babe." He said kissing you with intensity.
"I thought we might go out." You twisted your fingers together, looking down at your feet.
"I brought your fave!" He held up the bag of Chinese takeout and you tried to give a real smile.
"I'll just go put on some comfier clothes, then."
So now here you are, trying not to cry in your one bedroom apartment with thin walls. He'd hear you if you did.
So, instead, you slip the dress off and study yourself again. Your stomach was soft and round, your thighs touched, and your breasts, you know, sag with their weight when not in a bra.
He never had complaints when he had you naked in bed. And he never made you feel like he didn't like you. But in the three months you'd been dating, Eddie had never taken you OUT. Dates had always been at his place or yours. And that had been fine, for a while, but now you just wanted to know why he was ashamed of you.
You wanted to go to a movie or dinner out. Go mini golfing or bowling or even just dancing at the bar. Anything at this point.
Not feeling the best, you slipped on your baggiest sweatshirt and your comfiest flannel sleep pants.
When you made it to the living room, Eddie had the movie ready to go and he snuggled in immediately as you sat down.
"I got some extra egg rolls cause I know you always wish you had one more, and I was craving them tonight, too." Eddie was all smiles.
You weren't even hungry. This had your stomach all twisted in knots. You moved your kung pao chicken around with your fork, just moving it from side to side on the take out container.
"You feeling OK, sugar?" Eddie paused the movie and turned toward you. "You haven't really eaten, and you're wearing your comfort clothes."
Eddie knew you. You'd known each other for years before starting to date. You knew him back in high school. When he was king of the outcasts, and, as someone else who'd always been plush, you'd been an outcast. You'd had a crush on him since you were sixteen, but never thought you'd be dating him. It's why it took you three months of these intimate dates for you to start to feel the doubt.
You shook your head and just looked into your lap, the tears were flowing of their own free will and you didn't want him to see.
"Babe, look at me. Hey, what's wrong? Are you feeling sick?" He seemed so worried. He got on his knees in front of you, feeling your face with his long fingers.
"No, I'm not sick, Eddie." You wiped at your face with your oversized sleeve. "I want to know why you're ashamed of me."
"Asha-? What?" Eddie looked at you truly perplexed, and you felt relief but also embarrassment with his genuine surprise. "What makes you think I'm ashamed of you?"
"You never take me out, Eddie. I want to go out and have fun and show off a little. I finally snagged my man." You tried to play it off light, but your heart still weighed heavy in your chest.
"You want to be out with me? Are you sure about that, sugar?" He looked distressed. "The town pariah? The freak? You know after all the shit went down, how badly I've been treated. I don't want to put you through that." He was sad and quiet. This was not your Eddie.
"Fuck em." You said putting your thumb and finger on his chin and lifting it so he's looking at you. "I've waited a long time to date you, Eddie. I want to show off. I want to dance to music at the bar. I want to go play mini golf or bowling and be terrible at it together. I want to go see a movie that isn't in one of our apartments. I want to go OUT with you."
Eddie's eyes shined and you know yours mirrored his. Both of you had been too afraid to talk about your insecurities and causing hurt to yourselves in the process.
"I'd be honored, milady." Eddie shot up with haste and bowed. His hands took yours, pulling you to your feet.
"Not tonight!" You squeaked as he twirled you around like it was a dance floor. "I'm already cozy now."
"Tomorrow? The next night? I'll schedule something every night for the next seventy years."
"Only seventy?" You teased him. Now that your heart felt lighter, you could smile.
"You're right. At least ninety. Need to make sure I have our whole lives covered." He brought you in for a kiss. Both of you swayed to the music in your hearts. "But definitely tomorrow night, right?" He waited for you.
You nodded. "Yes, definitely, tomorrow."
"Ok, I'll have it all planned and ready. Wear that dress again. We'll do it right this time." Another kiss. He trailed them down your neck and back up. "I must treat my goddess the right way. I must atone for my sins, milady."
This right here, this was why you loved Eddie Munson. He was over the top and dramatic and perfect. He always made you laugh. And before you could stop yourself. "I love you, you dork." The words tumbled out of your mouth. You froze, and so did he.
"I love you, too, sugar. For the next ninety years, I'm yours."
