For @swiftsnowmane, happy belated birthday!
swiftsnowmane replied to your post: request for you if you're able to do it: obi and...
ehrmahgerd…is Obi-Wan clean-shaven for Satine in this? :3
lolol indeed, tho, I guess it might depend on which AU you want it to be?
If he left the Order for her pre-TPM, maybe the beard never happened?
But if you prefer Clone Wars canon divergence, then you can imagine a late-term pregnant Satine being a bit cranky and uncomfortable, and Obi-Wan being all sweetly concerned and asking, can I do anything to make you feel better?
And she just...
swiftsnowmane replied to your photoset “so when did gaston study shakespeare enough to quote Macbeth?”
Travelling performers put on a very good show in the town square, and he spent all night in the tavern afterward dramatically reciting the few lines he remembered over and over again for his sycophantic bros and those swooning girls on that log bench thingie.
This delights me because misogynistic Gaston really is quoting the words of a gender defying character like Lady Macbeth, a woman who is bloodthirsty for power and rejects traditionally feminine docility.
So if we run with this headcanon and say he saw Shakespeare at the town square, he heard that line out of the mouth of masculine woman Lady Macbeth and was like, “Wow, goals. I wanna be that.”
swiftsnowmane replied to your post: About my fic ‘Scars’.
Maybe ‘Stranger’s Eve’ or something like that ?
But it needs to sound like Halloween, that’s why I’m thinking of Stranger-ween. Or perhaps just Strangerween. I think it would be better without the hyphen. What do you think?
All of the nice sansan stuff I have received from fandom friends over the years!
Thank you so much for the print you sent me, @swiftsnowmane! I’ve framed it and it’s sooooo beautiful! My boyfriend loves it as well and we’ve put it on our bedroom’s wall. I’m going to admire it all the time and treasure it for the rest of my life! :D

I sort of thought it evoked ‘All Hallow’s Eve’ which is another name for Halloween, but , lol, yes, Strangerween is amusing. ;’D
Oh, that’s interesting. I think it could the etymology of the word, but that the most used name would be Strangerween, like it is in our world. Thanks for the information. I’ll be changing Halloween for Strangerween before I post chaper 8.
OH my GOD thank you @swiftsnowmane
