I think I'd watch strange new worlds SO much faster if I knew the muppet episode for next season was gonna be about Pigs In Space...😭 They run into the USS Swinetrek....I want them to meet Captain Link Hogthrob 😭 First Mate Piggy 😭 Doctor Julius Strangepork 😭
Captain Link Hogthrob
On the November 12, 1977, the first Pigs in Space sketch appeared. ("Milton Berle" Muppet Show, TV, event)
Capitalist Pigs in Space
Inspired by Maura Quint (@behindyourback on twitter): A full length feature film starring Miss Piggy, Link Hogthrob, and Julius Strangepork as the crew of the Swinetrek, a spacecraft attempting to make contact with BBQORG. Link and Dr. Strangepork are of the mind that they'll be stronger if they join up with the BBQORG, a cybernetic hive mind and thinly veiled stand-in for a monopolistic conglomerate, unaware it would literally turn the pigs into a commodity, namely pork futures to become barbecue at some not-too-distant date. It's up to Miss Piggy, and her expansive library of socialist, feminist, and intersectional literature ranging from the works of Pauli Murray up to and through Zillah Eisenstein's writings to save the crew and the galaxy from a rapacious and cataclysmic economic system.
