Meeting at Night (Pt.2) A Red, Red Rose
"We have been walking for two hours now"
Amy thought to herself, however, this came out of her mouth with thinking much. Shadow and she had been walking for way too long. The forest they were in seemed to have not ended. They had already been attacked by a giant flower, Shadow got almost got killed by drinking some pink water from a lake and there was no clear signal of any other living thing.
"Why can't you just Chaos Control us out of here?'- Shadow asked Amy already tired.
"I can't... Chaos Control works only with places I been to and places I can imagine they might look like...this is a different dimension, I have only been here two hours so I really can't imagine how a city or village around here might look like...It might be very dangerous if I try...we could end up going anywhere in the universe or dimension"-Amy said as she quickly picked up a smell. A strange one, she was quick to make a turn and walked towards that direction.
"Wait then how did you teletransported us in here? Have you been here before?"
"No, but in the video, Sonic specified the name of the dimension and place that's enough information for me to teletransport us...and you ask too many questions"
"But hey Shadow....."- Amy faced Shadow and his heart stopped for a second. Amy was walking towards him she wasn't doing anything out of the usual but Shadow began to feel nervous for some reason.
"What? I thought you didn't want to"- Shadow was a bit disappointed that Amy didn't something else from him.
"It will be dangerous if you just run around everywhere...we don't know the kind of people that live here they might be powerful...I sense a peculiar smell...I don't know what it is but it might be good"
"Alright then"- Shadow trusted Amy and was quick to pick her up. She was light and Shadow could feel her soft fur through his gloves. His face had never been as close to hers and sunlight touching her face made her even more beautiful. Shadow just stood there for a second, just admiring her.
Amy noticed this and was honestly wondering what was going through his head.
"Shadow...can we go already?"
"Ah, yes sure"- Shadow then took up to the direction Amy pointed it took around 10 minutes and they were quick to get out of the forest and they soon found a village. Shadow put Amy down and was quick to miss her warmness in his hands, he didn't think about it too much and Amy spoke to him.
"Shadow is anything happens, take my Chaos Emerald and you run away"
"Yeah that's not happening"-Shadow walked past Amy, trying to look cool. There were small colorful teepee tents all around, also other small houses made out of wood and as soon as Amy and Shadow came, everyone looked at them.
"They most are of royal blood"
"What would they want with us?"
Amy could hear everyone else talking with her sensitive hearing. Then, Amy's thoughts were interrupted by an old cat with many wrinkles and blue clothes approached them.
"I am Tiberius chief of the Kush Tribe...how may I help you both?"- The old cat says.
"We are just looking for a place to sleep"- Amy was quick to step in front of Shadow. In any case that something went wrong she can still protect them.
"May I ask...are you from the Royal family?"- Tiberius had a sudden dark change of voice
"No, we are not"- Shadow quickly said.
"In that case....You are more than welcome! Sorry to scare you, but not many of us are on good terms with the Royal Family of Titiana...Also that it's very weird to see hedgehogs...The whole Royal Family is from of the only living hedgehog species in here....may I ask where are you two from?"-Tiberius guided Amy and Shadow through his village showing each of his people around
"We are...from another dimension..."- Amy said a bit hesitant. She didn't know still if he could be trusted but he was giving strangers a place to sleep, it was the least she could do.
"Ah! Just like that blue hedgehog and yellow fox!"
"You know Sonic and Tails?! They were here?!"- Amy asked and Shadow saw how bright her eyes were in the mention of the blue bur...something that made Shadow a bit annoyed.
"Not here but in a nearby enemy village...they saw the blue hedgehog and they were quick to call the Royal Army...and the word soon spread"
"They... are being held captive?"
Amy changed her expression quickly. She was extremely worried they could be doing anything to them right now and she can't do anything at the moment. Tiberius noticed the pink hedgehogs situation and wanted to change the topic.
"They will be preparing your tepee soon...you both are together right?"- Tiberius said in a teasing voice.
"What? No, we are not"- Amy tried to keep her cool and Shadow felt his mood go down as Amy was fast to cut him off.
"Then why does your friend here loves you so much?"- Tiberius looked at Shadow and he closed his eyes and kept his cool even though on the inside he felt his heart run faster than him.
"No, I don't"- Shadow said with his deep voice.
"With all of my years, I could swear you feel something for her... on well...I may be just old...I'll prepare two tepees then"-Tiberius then walked off leaving a very baffled Amy and a very flustered Shadow behind.
It was already late night and all villagers gather together on the big bonfire in order to eat together and thank all their gods for the food provided. Female villagers gave Amy some new clothes which deep down Shadow thought were very fitting for her figure and it made him harder to think. Kids in the village where as well surprised with Shadow as they used natural paint on him to decorate his body. Amy thought it was cute to see him so comfortable around children. She never thought he will be one to like them.
"Can I ask what do the symbols mean?"- Amy asked Zetian, Tiberius wife who was helping her all along with her clothes and showing her the village.
"Fertility my dear. We know the men is the one in charge of putting the children in you...the number of drawings the kids paint on him, will equal the kids you will have"- Zetian smiled to her and Amy was more perplexed.
"Wait what...but we are not...together"- Amy stated.
"Uh? But Tiberius told me that you both wanted to get married here...don't be shy! We are always up for weddings!"
Nothing much happened after that. Amy and Shadow were both being celebrated for getting married. They even exchanged they golden wrist bracelets. They had dancers and food and even though Amy and Shadow wanted to enjoy the night, they had other things in mind.
"So I was aking around the other villagers. and they have told me the reason they consider the Royal Family an Enemy"- Shadow began and this caught Amy's thought immediately. Therefore, Shadow continued...
"After Emperor Nero, husband of Empresses Titiana passed away, she wanted to govern the entire world by taking down Emperor Cyrus of the Byzantine Empire...and she did in the most horrifying way...killing innocent children, burning down villages...many loved ones of the Kush Tribe were killed during battle...Not only that but Titiana has very peculiar likes, she picks random girls to give to their sons as objects to treat them worst than trash...Amy, we need to be careful once we leave tomorrow morning"- Shadow added he was worried for Amy's safety and didn't want anything to happen to her.
"Nothing will happen to me Shadow...I promise you that I will get us out of here and I will defeat Titiana"- Shadow looked at Amy's eyes and he saw so much determination. He can't believe he got married to her just today...even if for her it didn't mean much, for him just that brought him a sense of happiness.
"But Amy..."- Shadow began but once again if he got cut off my Amy.
"And I promise you...that I will find you a better wife"- Amy said smiling so Shadow could calm down a little and light up the mood. Something ins Shadow woke up his heart wasn't racing but it felt warm, Shadow didn't want to know what he was doing but he reached and hold Amy's hands. Amy was surprised by his actions and looked up to Shadow.
"Tiberius said that I was in love with you and I honestly said no...but Amy...I think I don't longer have a crush on you...I wholeheartedly like you, Amy Rose"
That day Shadow The Hedgehog decided to chase Amy until the end of his days
His love was new, fresh and young just like a red rose that sprung in June, like a melody that is sweetly played in tune. So deeply in love he was that he will chase after her until the seas goes dry and the rocks melt by the sun. He will go after her again and again.
