Chara seems upset at that, anger bubbling in their chest as they stared at the child and listened to every word. Petty War? Did they think that this war started just because they wanted it to? Just because they had a bad experience with humanity as a child?
"Petty? PETTY? You think this war is PETTY? You think I'm throwing some kind of bloody fucking TANTRUM?"
They raised their voice, eyes glowing dangerously. They have no idea what happened. They haven't seen and heard and felt what they had felt one and a half years ago. The sound of flames echoing throughout the forest, the sound of the wood crackling and the sight of black smoke rising. The sound of anguished cries of countless monsters as they desperately pulled the debris off. The screams of anger from the young general as the scent of ash and dust made their lungs burn.
"You know nothing of this war. You know nothing about why this war started. You have not seen what I have seen,"
Chara felt their throat tighten at the moving image, the moving memory of when they were 14. Back when things were simple. Back when it was peaceful. Back when everything was just....okay.
But it's not okay. Not anymore. Not after what humanity did. Not after what they have committed.
"Humanity deserves this war. Have they not waged it before? Have they not killed others before as well? What makes this so different?"
"What makes MY war, the MONSTERS' war, any different from their own?"
