On Tython do you choose to expose the two lovers (LS) or keep their secret (DS)?
LS - They are lovers
DS - They are innocent

As someone currently doing some romance deep dives in SWTOR with force using characters I always choose that they are innocent, I feel like a hypocrite calling them out especially with Sarabi who I'm doing my Doc deep dive romance into this playthrough. 💚
I've been talking a lot about Zarsh'a lately so I thought it'd be funny to showcase all the dialogues that showcase her sarcastic, stubborn, pragmatic, Sith nature.. enjoy! LMAO
tagging the Zarsh'a enjoyers 🤭🤭 @blackberry-command-cap @per-astraea
how did Zarsh'a end up joining the Jedi? Did someone "convert" her, or was it her own decision? How does her Sith Master feel about this? (apologies if you've already talked about this, i don't remember either way)
OH MYYYY, thank you for this question!! It's been so long since I've talked about my characters. I actually never fully explained her backstory 👀 (mainly cuz I wasn't so sure about it then) but now I definitely can tell you about it.
So, for the first part of her life it was her and her mom. She comes from a long lineage of force sensitive people, often aligning with the dark side but suprinsgly neutral. But they are NOT imperials, they would be allies but not part of the Empire per say. Her mom always thought that the Empire appropriated the Sith culture causing most ancient traditions to vanish. Zarsh'a and her mom lived secluded on Korriban (or maybe another sith desert planet), their home was a small mud house surrounded by the desert, filled with trinkets and relics of force sensitive nature. Nearby there were tombs of their ancestors, that's why the lineage never moved out somewhere else. ANYWAYS, even if her mom isn't too keen of the Empire, she did fight in the war as a Sith Lord but she retired to raise her daughter. Fun fact, she met Zarsh'a's father on the battlefield, a Jedi Knight 👀 her mom was winning the battle but the Empire retreated, a normal Sith would've done the killing blow but she couldn't be bothered by it so she left. It definitely intrigued him, she also fought barefoot which he kept teasing her about (and was always suprised when she wore shoes). She's always barefoot due to Togrutan culture, it strengthens her bond to the Force. She's truly a Force witch, she's amazing and that Jedi Knight thought the same 😏 they really had a big gap between them, not really because of the Jedi/Sith thing but also cuz he wasn't really connected to his culture since he was probably sent to the Jedi really young, whereas for her family and culture are like pillars of her life. And yet, they fell in love. When Zarsh'a was born, it shook them up, because her mom wanted to raise her on the land of her ancestors and obviously her dad wanted to be there for her but none of them was willing to change their lives for each other. I don't have a lot of details because of the political state of that time (like technically it should be during the treaty? So technically Republic and Empire are at peace? Anyways I haven't figured that part out yet, SORRY). But they came to an arrangement of like going back to their own lives, Zarsh'a's mom promised him that if the Sith would cause a treat to their daughter, she would send her to the Jedi. She thought it was better that way rather than having her raised as a Jedi and never learn about her culture. So Zarsh'a was raised and trained by her mom, didn't know much about her father, but she learned how to study the force and fight. Her mom gave her first crystal and lightsaber.
Zarsh'a was now in her early teens, 12-14 perhaps, and the tensions between the Empire and the Republic were just starting so a lot of recruitment was happening. Zarsh'a's existence was kept a secret but a jealous Lord or maybe even a Darth, tried to go for her mom. They eventually learned she had a daughter and wanted to kill them both as they were "defying" Sith existence (since they're not officially part of the council) and also them being alien and owning land on Korriban didn't sit right with them. So 2 Sith went to Zarsh'a's mud house, her mom sensed them miles away and told her to reach the spaceport and seek help from the Jedi. Zarsh'a was confused, like, the Jedi? The guys we're supposed to be enemies with? But her mom told her that there isn't good or bad sides, just the Force and that the Jedi valued the Force like them too. So Zarsh'a did like her mom told her to and went in the search to find shelter at the Jedi. Her mom fought the Sith by herself, Zarsh'a didn't know her fate for years, but I like to believe she finally decided to leave Korriban. Maybe thinking that it was her time to live her life.
Back to Zarsh'a, she arrived at a Jedi temple on some random planet I haven't chosen yet, and of course they were wary of her for a while. They took take of her, they were kind with her but they knew about her heritage. So she was tested more than the average Jedi, she would be like 14 years old in the same room as 8 yo younglings lol. Obviously it frustrated her but it's not like she really had a choice, so she chose patience. Then slowly but surely she was shaped by the order's ideals, learning about the light side of the Force but she never got brainwashed in any way. She still valued her mother's teachings and respected the way of the Sith. The Order tried to get rid of her lightsaber and the crystal, saying it was tainted with the dark side but ultimately they understood it was the only thing she had left of her mom. So instead they made her remove the crystal from the lightsaber, she could keep both, just as long she didn't wield the crystal. So she turned it into a necklace to remember her mom. Later on, she puts blue crystals into the lightsaber and gets a second lightsaber, kinda a way to symbolize her two heritages.
So yea! Basically I wanted to explain how she could've become a Jedi Master so young and quickly, and I thought the only thing that would make sense is that she's been trained well before the average Padawan. And that she was slowed down and tested beforehand. But ultimately, her insight in the Force is what makes her so powerful, she might not be the best diplomat (she never fully got rid of imperial mannerisms lol) but her powers is what makes her so "useful" to the Jedi Order.
On Tython one of the LS/DS choice option is with Flingeld, we help him lift a rock that he has been struggling with. When his master returns he calls out Flingeld for getting help with his task. Flingeld then tells his master that we interfered and he tried to stop us.
What was you choice on the fate on Flingeld?
LS - He's lying.
DS - Yes, I volunteered.

If we choose the LS option Flingeld is no longer training and goes into the archives instead as a clerk and will not be a Jedi.
If we choose the DS option Flingeld gains a second chance to prove himself
What did you choose?
Sarabi chose the LS here, she was happy to give him another chance (she believes there is no weakness in asking for help), until he lied to his Master saying that she interfered. Sarabi decided that lying like this to his Master, to any Jedi Master and deceiving others is not a trait for a Jedi in training and if lies about this what else could he lie about in the future?
i read all your posts on Zarsh’a and now i have 1000039393000 questions 😭 but i’ve narrowed them down: how did her parents fall in love? i know you mentioned they met in battle, but what exactly drew them to each other? and how did they maintain their relationship with all their responsibilities? also, how does Zarsh’a feel about her father once she finally meets him? like does she feel betrayed that he wasn’t in her life or do they get along well or does she have no opinion?
AAAAAAAAA I love them so much, thanks for asking about them!! okay so, let's do it per question.
How did Zarsh'a's parents fall in love?
OKAY, so as I mentionned briefly in this post, they met in battle. I'd say the dad instantly found her attractive, imagine, a gorgeous Togruta woman, her skin as vibrant as the sun, her movements as fluid as the Force itself, barefoot and underdressed for battle (which he laughed at her for lol), and still being so powerful. I can't blame the guy for finding her hot! But as Jedi customs go, he put the attraction aside because she's still Sith, she's still an enemy. This was the prime example of him fighting harder and her fighting smarter, he fought harshly like a true knight but she took advantages of his weak points and won. She had her lightsaber pointed right as him, defenseless, but the Empire was losing so she left as soon as she heard they were retreating. The Knight was suprised and also frustrated, that he was defeated and didn't even get the honor to die in battle. But what intrigued him most is that this Sith didn't take the chance to strike him down and she could've, yet she didn't.
a LOT more info below
Then, they fought again, on another battle, on another planet. Except this time, he won, and he asked her "why". She was confused but he asked again "why didn't you kill me last time?" and she was like "why aren't you killing me now?". "Because the Jedi don't kill the defenseless", she laughs "really". "But the Sith do, so why didn't you do it?". She saw he was being serious so she said "We were retreating, why would I kill you?". Both stood in silence, he probably thoughts she lived under a rock for not knowing a Sith would strike the killing blow but he saw she was being genuine. And then the battle ended again, the Republic retreating this time around. This second encounter definitely left them both perplexed, this battle also was more playful than the first one, a lot of teasing in between lightsaber swaying.
Third battle, is barely a battle, they talk, judge each other's backgrounds. She laughs at his metal boots and he laughs at her non-existent ones. She mocks the Jedi, he denounces the Sith, they both learn about each other. Now you can officially consider her interested in him, intrigued by him, so she literally asked him on a date even tho that's not how she said it lol.
They meet on Nar Shaddaa, neutral territory, on a rooftop cantina/bar. He really was suprised when he saw her wearing boots but as she would say "there's no need for Force connexion on a metal planet" (she truly hates metal, have you noticed?). This is where they actually start falling for each other, there's definitely something going on. I don't know how much of a slow burn they had, if they kissed on the first date or if they waited, but it was all relatively in the same time frame. They continued seeing each other on neutral territory, actually starting a secret relationship, sleeping together and such.
How did they maintain their relationship?
So I don't really know how much time their relationship lasted, I like to believe at least a few years but how did they maintain it? So at the beginning like I said they would meet on neutral planets and spend the night there but their relationship got serious enough they started smuggling each other into their homeworlds. He got to meet the land of her ancestors, she even made him meditate on Korriban with her lol. He probably lived on Coruscant, I don't know if like older Jedi still sleep at Jedi temples or if they're allowed to live in appartments somewhere lol? If not he probably got on Tython at some point too, either way, going there was more difficult because of the whole Jedi no attachment things, it's difficult to mask such strong feelings so yea. It was mostly him going on Korriban, that's where she learned she was pregnant, she felt her baby through the Force, obviously it scared them but they both really wanted a family. I talked about how they debated a lot on what to do with Zarsh'a because both of them didn't want to give up their lives but they wanted to be a family, so anyways I won't repeat myself this is already SO LONG as it is but yea! Zarsh'a was born on the land of her ancestors and her father was there to help her mother, they had no help from anybody, no nurse cuz they wanted to keep the birth a secret but it was difficult. Specially Zarsh'a's mom was unlucky to lose her parents younger than expected and she didn't have any sister or relatives to help her during the birth so yea. In terms of Jedi dads, he isn't so bad after all!
How does Zarsh'a feels about her father?
Well as a kid she always wanted to know more about him and didn't understand why her mom was so secretive about him. I wouldn't say she needed a dad either, like she never felt she was missing out or sad about it, but she always was curious about him. When they finally met, I'd say she felt a bit emotional, solely for the fact that she thought she was orphaned for life after "losing" her mom and that she was the last of her family. So I'd say she had like a positive reaction to him but she's lived her entire life without him so obviously they can't be as close as they would like to, but they do keep in touch! And probably work together sometimes since she's the Barsen'thor, and they also secretly try to track her mom too. So definitely a positive relationship just not very deep at the moment but no harsh feelings.
Also bonus info cuz I've been thinking about this a lot lately, but the whole familial and romantic dynamic between her parents most definitely impacted her own love life too. She has a rocky relationship with Zenith and again we have like almost opposites, an hard-core anti-imperial and a former imperial, and it definitely adds a lot more of dimension to their dynamic. I can't even tell you what they are or if they end up being life partners because it's like sooo complicated between them but they're like so drawn to each other too it's ARGHHHH okay enough yapping, been writing this for nearly an hour 😭😭😭
After this post, I decided to draw @legends-chauvinist's JK Zestilya & @califrey's JC Alysle c:
So for Zestilya I had to pick my struggle between drawing all her tattoos or drawing her profile, I chose the profile and it took me an entire hour- not my best work, but I really love her design and I hope you still like her! <3
Then, I tried to speed draw Alysle, trying to not make the first mistakes in my first attempt and this one took me 30 minutes! Drawing them really was a delight! <3
I would love to color these but my tablet isn't working so I allow you to color these sketches if you'd like! As long as you keep my signature and credit me if you use these. What I WON'T allow is tracing, drawing over or doing line art. Thanks! (and if y'all want the uncompressed file, dm me so I can send you an email!)
