Kiwiiks and Orgus Friendship
If you do Alderaan before Tatoonie you get an interesting dialogue/lore from Kiwiiks when you tell her Orgus is dead. It's that he was her oldest friend. I thought it was a little sweet. Wish we knew more about them when they were young, might need to find some fan fictions to fill the gap for me. 🩷
Careful, spoilers for JK story (and a lot of letters)
Talking about the end of Knight's storyline, when they finally defeat the Emperor. I remember there were three choices, two of them were light sided and the third was the dark side, basically the only one that said "kill the Emperor". At this point I was so dreadfully immersed I looked at those options and I asked myself: "How could anyone even think of choosing the light sided one?"
I know Doc isn't the most popular LI out there in SWTOR but I do think he pairs so well with my stoic seemingly emotionless full LS JK, a Cathar lady who has a more aggressive, assertive side bubbling underneath that only he brings out in her. 💛🖤
He would NOT in a million years match with ANY of my JK alts though. 🤣
Sharing the love on #SWTORLISunday 🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
On Tython do you choose to expose the two lovers (LS) or keep their secret (DS)?
LS - They are lovers
DS - They are innocent
As someone currently doing some romance deep dives in SWTOR with force using characters I always choose that they are innocent, I feel like a hypocrite calling them out especially with Sarabi who I'm doing my Doc deep dive romance into this playthrough. 💚
The Doc Romance Deep Dive - Part 2
Alrighty let’s jump into out second deep dive on the Doc romance.
Let’s see if Sarabi and Doc even have ANYTHING in common and how a strict, dutiful Jedi even thinks about falling for this over the top flirty, egotistical Doctor.
No AI had been used during my deep dives. ✅
After Balmorra
Our first interaction on the ship after we recruit Doc we jump straight into the ‘be more respectful’ with my friends as Doc addresses T7 as just a droid and Kira as ‘Little Miss Uptight.’ It’s clear from this interaction that Doc not only has zero respect for the JK but also her crew and Sarabi can quickly put him into his place that being disrespectful to her crew/friends is a no go.
Doc here is not thinking, ''hey I need to be respectful and kind to her friends'' because remember in his head he’s already ‘won’ the prize, a Jedi. It’s worked in the past where he flirts a little with someone and instantly gets attention back so he assumes his ‘’spell’’ has worked here with Sarabi and that she must already be head over heels for him. She is not.
I like how Doc quickly takes a step back, obviously seeing a line already drawn in the sand to leave her friends alone, he finishes off with yet another flirt directed towards Sarabi.
He rattles off some demands to which our JK Sarabi can simply say she will do her best to ensure it’s the same conditions as back on Balmorra.
He tells he needs to get everything online and to stay in one piece on ‘Doctors orders.’ I’m glad that with this first conversation on the ship a JK can already address some of the disrespect towards her friends.
The constant flirting and attitude from Doc towards a lady JK here really comes off far to strong, too early. To be honest the fact that any JK would be completely turned off already is understandable, thus far there’s no way to stop the on-sided flirting, and in my opinion disrespect for a JK and her position.
The next conversation is one of the ‘lock in’ conversations for the romance moving forward.
For Sarabi here she chooses the [flirt] option rather innocently, she is all about her duty as a Jedi and finds the idea of a holiday amusing and so wants to see where he’s going with that idea. Her response in my mind is an innocent response of not understanding what a holiday even is.
As this is our lock in moment for the romance, we choose the second [flirt] option to lock in it, [flirt] You’re the doctor.’
From Sarabi’s POV and my own head canon of a slower romance I like to continue to play Sarabi’s more innocent mind that these flirts from Doc (which are too over the top) are going over her head, in her own head she will do what he suggests to ensure she is at her best health wise for her missions.
From Doc’s POV the flirt lines to someone he has very clearly only known for a short period of time are very much to much too soon. It seems as though for JK’s not interested this can be a shut down moment for the romance.
The next few lines for Doc in my mind are way to over the top for the relationship so early on (for a slower romance route). I will play again Sarabi’s more innocent card of looking past these comments.
For our POV though looking at Doc it’s clear that at least in my mind these pick up lines he’s clearly used before, they are so corny to us but remember in his head, ‘EVERYONE wants to date ME’ they have obviously worked in the past so why stop now.
We can even call him out on this a little later when Sarabi wises up.
Before Hoth
Before heading down to Hoth we can actually have our first real conversation with Doc that isn’t all bad flirting attempts. So let’s see if we can dig into his character a little deeper.
We learn that he spent time in the Outer Rim where he had to learn about giving medical care without the use of Kolto. We can assume that the Outer Rim is very rough/lawless, where our character thankfully can use Kolto for injuries imagine the poor people out here with no access to that life saving substance to heal them.
As much as we can not like Doc right now (and rightfully so for his over-the-top flirting) we can tell at least that he’s seen some pretty bad stuff on the outer rim. There’s no doubt he’s seen some horrific injuries and has had patients/friends die.
Sarabi leans into to this that healing and helping people is always dangerous. It’s in these quieter moments where she can see his clear dedication to helping others and when she starts to really ‘see’ him. Sarabi is also all about helping people in need so the two have a connection here, they actually have something in common!
The next line though it seems almost like a throw away line I think is incredibly important to a huge trait or ‘’flaw’’ of Doc’s. He mentions doing surgery without anesthetic and that it’s even harder if the patient doesn’t get any. To me this screams of, I have seen terrible things such as pain, death, destruction and grief in the Outer Rim but I’m going to cover this with jokes because it’s all I can do to try and minimize the impact of what I’ve seen. A coping mechanism? In my mind this is what these silly little over the top jokes we get from him are, after seeing some of what he’s seen to cope with these memories he jokes about them. Sarabi and any JK again would be able to understand this, a JK has seen their own share of killings, death, grief and destruction. Sarabi copes in her own silent way, but again believe or not Doc and Sarabi have their second thing in common, that they in their own ways have to cope with he horrors they’ve seen in the galaxy, Sarabi hides it in inside and Doc makes jokes.
Doc again dips into his story of covering these horrors by telling Sarabi he wouldn’t want a boring life in a regular medical practice because he’s instead a ‘man of action.’ Whether or not this is true there’s no way he could ever return to that normal life after what he’s seen. I think in his core values he does want to care for and help people (I mean he is a Doctor and a good one). How can he see suffering of people and what they're going through without him and not want to go help. What’s this a THIRD thing Sarabi and Doc have in common? Seeing suffering and having opportunity to walk away at anytime and choosing not to. For Doc this is also perhaps where some of that 'ego' comes from a complex of the heroic savior complex comes from, he does have a good heart but does let it go to his head.
Sarabi agrees that helping others can be dangerous and she too knows exactly what it can be like out there. She wants nothing more than to help everyone she can, she knows deep down she’ll never be able to save everyone but she has to at least try otherwise what good of a Jedi is she?
So, after that deep little lore dump we jump back into regular Doc again, maybe he’s revealed to much? Got to make a jokes again. He talks about dealing with pirates and gangsters as though they’re nothing and he can easily deal with them. Regular show-off, flirty, I’m better than everyone else, Doc is back in the house.
Doc makes a comment about our lightsaber and mind tricks and that we can use them to get out of tricky situations. Sarabi doesn’t choose the flirt option simply to express that she does her best not need to use them but that they are ‘’efficient’’ when needed.
Doc finishes off with a regular flirt and show-off attitude about his ‘intellect’ and ’charm’ because remember everyone in his head ‘WANTS to be ME’ because clearly he is the smartest and most perfect guy around.
--
That was a deep dive conversation for sure! Can’t believe in one conversation we managed to see past some of the overly flirty Doc and got some back story about why he may be the way he is with some of his attitude and joking. We found 3 different things that the two have in common, and three things that Sarabi can actually admire/like/connect about him as a real person.
There is another conversation before Hoth but we’ll finish it here as this is already quite long.
Thanks for sticking around and let's see what happens next!

The Doc Romance Deep Dive - Part 1
Welcome to the first of my Doc romance deep dive.
Many have very strong feelings about the Doc romance, this deep dive is from a character (Sarabi) who wants to take things slow and not rush into anything. Let’s jump in and see what happens when we slow down the Doc romance and whether it is truly one of the most misunderstood OG romances.
No AI had been used during my deep dives. ✅
Balmorra
So firstly, our lady for this deep dive is Sarabi, you can learn more about her here. In summary she is a LS Jedi Knight who is not looking for any romance as she is all about her duties as a Jedi. She is very naïve as no one has ever really showed her any attention romantically.
When we arrive on Balmorra we go to rescue the team. In out very first conversation Doc instantly hits up the flirting to 100 by calling us, someone he literally just met ‘’gorgeous.’’
Sarabi has no time for this and to be honest it would go right over her head and she is all business in a dangerous situation instead asking about what the collocoids are. Before they return.
After closing the nests and returning to Doc he once again jumps into flirting with us saying that he better check us over. Again, this goes right over Sarabi’s head as she is more focused on those who have been injured.
Let’s take a step back and look at what we have here in only two scenes with Doc. He has flirted with us twice. I can absolutely see how this is not going well for those lady JK out there who are not interested in the slightest, it’s coming off far to strong.
Now we’re getting into my own ideas here, my interpretation. I know there’s the comparison with Han Solo overly flirty stereotype, but I want to explore away from that. Maybe that was what it started out being but let’s treat this as its own thing remembering where the ‘’inspiration’’ came from.
I want to say firstly I do not condone this behaviour whatsoever to anyone of any gender. It is inappropriate and I don’t want any to think I’m making excuses for this behaviour because I’m not. We are simply going to examine this as we move forward with Doc’s character in a slow and steady romance arc.
From my perspective we have a guy (Doc) who obviously has been the smartest guy in the class, the most popular guy in the room, in his opinion the best-looking guy in the galaxy, and he has gained some serious ego to back this up. Don’t get me wrong he’s clearly very good at what he does (being a qualified, experience doctor) however this complex he has about himself has led to a real over confidence of,
‘’I’m obviously just the best and everyone else either,
a. wants to be me or
b. wants to date me.’’
I imagine that most people Doc has met have most likely fitted easily into one of these categories in his mind which just helped feed that huge ego.
Now we’re faced with Jedi Knight Sarabi who is not interested in any of that but instead is far more concerned with protecting others. His tired old attitude examined above is about to hit a brick wall.
We later see Sarabi and Doc at the imperial base where she instantly volunteers Doc’s assistance to the injured Imperials. Doc suggests that he doesn’t abandon people but that being eaten also wasn’t on his agenda for the day. When he goes downstairs and see’s the wounded imperials however he changes his mind relatively fast as long as we agree to stay and assist which of course we do.
So we’ve jumped from overly flirty with Sarabi to suddenly seeing a little of what lies beneath, even though they are imperial he can’t stand by and let them suffer and is willing to save them. All that flirting has already gone over Sarabi’s head but something like this is what she remembers, the selflessness to help others.
We save the men and Doc leaves us.
Back with Warren we get another chance to flirt with Doc after he says we make a great time which Sarabi does not choose to engage in she’s too busy, and simply says that the mission isn’t over and she is keen to keep going, she does not want to waste time. I like how Doc’s laid back pose on the seat completely changes, I know it’s probably just in the scene but I take it as he was denied his [flirt] so let’s keep going with the regular meeting then attitude.
We rescue Madel and it’s clear that she and Doc know each other already, we see him already using a pet name for her calling her ‘’sweetheart’’ but Sarabi focuses more on making sure she’s ok.
We could argue here that Madel and Doc may have been a couple, but to me I see it as he is a major flirt as we’ve seen and he must keep up appearances because remember in his mind, ’b. everyone wants to date me.’ attitude.
She reveals that she had been threatened to be tortured and had told them everything she knew. The rebellion is pretty angry but Sarabi stands up for her without a second thought saying that she know serves the republic and is basically under her protection. Doc appreciates this and comments as such saying he owes us.
Doc then volunteers to come with us the factory as it used to have a hospital.
Once we get inside we use the turbolfit where we an amusing line from Doc that someone is coming down and that he will protect us (a fully trained Jedi). I find this to be a little cute and is obviously for him it is an opportunity to show off some of that bravado he thinks he has to impress us. We meet his friend and he tells him he is travelling with a Jedi, just a flex from him I imagine. I think he clearly see’s the two of them as a couple right now in his mind, as horrible as that sounds to him he’s found himself a Jedi to date and he has to tell everyone about it.
No long afterwards this we get another Doc attempting to flirt with us, again calling us ‘gorgeous’ rather than our name of title. Again I can absolutely see how those who are 100% not interested this can be getting old quite fast. From Doc’s POV, he is on a solo mission with Jedi Knight who he clearly is trying to impress in the only way he knows how which has always worked until now. Sarabi again ignores this, she had a mission to complete but does tell him she appreciate his fast working.
At the end of the mission Sarabi chooses the LS option letting the rebels go, Doc says that the colonel won’t be happy with her but that he can smooth it over. As we mentioned previously Doc clearly thinks himself as someone who is perfect at everything, so him saying he will smooth it over I 100% believes he thinks he can sweet talk his way out of anything. He asks whether we have room for him and again we skip the flirt option completely and simply tell him that our mission is dangerous and if he’s sure he wants to get involved. Sarabi again is not seeing anything flirt or romance just her mission.
So we've gotten through Balmorra and recruited Doc and thus far Sarabi has not taken a single [flirt] option from his over-the-top flirting with us.
We have now recruited Doc and we can see a few things clearly already before we even hit the ground running with the romance. Doc overall with his major character flaws moving forward we will investigate if and how these change during a romance and if the slow and steady route make any difference. Does he change his attitude or it something that will remain? Will he actually grow to see Sarabi a Jedi Knight as more than just someone he can date and boast about?
