I just think theres something so beautiful about holding someone so extremely gently because you're scared to put pressure on them in fear that they'll break. When they've spent the last few minutes crying into your shoulder because they're tired, or stressed, or just had a bad day and they need to be near you and just be vulnerable, and now they've fallen asleep against you and you're gently running your fingers over their back and you want to help them lay down but you don't want them to wake up so you just let them lean against you as their breath fans against your neck and you just let your head softly rest on top of theirs and eventually you fall asleep holding them. Theres something so beautifully raw about that.
