❝ That mask.... ❞  He looks a tad bit unsure on how to word it, as blunt as he’s always been he doesn’t quite want to OFFEND him. Still a single digit moves to point directly at the mask he’s wearing as to inform him he was talking about THAT mask and not any other. ❝ What is the purpose behind it ? ❞ Ai questions, looking at him with curious eyes. He was curious if it was merely there for decoration or was it perhaps a thing that the other wore for ANOTHER reason ? Either way he lowered his hand so he was no longer pointing at him and more specifically the mask while he awaited his answer.

STRAY CATS are as much a part of Tokyo as towering buildings and bullet trains—but the feline currently in Katsuya's line of vision doesn't seem to be a stray. It's far too PLUMP, with sleek black fur that makes its curious blue eyes look all the brighter.

Where the detective had been severe before, navigating through the public with all the detachment of a moral guardian, he's softening now, the smallest of smiles flashing over his face. In the mouth of an alleyway, he kneels before his new four-legged friend, oblivious to the cat's owner looming over his shoulder as nonsense leaves his lips.
