A Predictive, Inventive Skirt
“The best way to predict the future is to invent it,” computer scientist Alan Kay wrote. Sylvia Heisel and Scott Taylor of Heisel put this expression on a skirt they created on a MakerBot Replicator. How Do You See Yourself? A Wearable Tech Workshop
Sylvia Heisel will be leading an experimental workshop where users will play with and photograph themselves wearing new tech materials and non-traditional clothing items such as reflective thread, tyvek, and wearable LEDs.
As an artist Sylvia create interactive environments. In one such project, she created a room in tyvek where people could try on abstract pieces and play.

Her recent collections have included LED-lit skirts, reflective clothes and accessories and 3D printed trims.
