Accepted, Candidate Selected - (Saburo Kusanagi - Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure)
[SPOILERS FOR STONE OCEAN] The world was really ending. Fuck global warming, meteorite or zombie virus, the cause of it all was the Stand Ability of the man he’d been hunting with the others. His boyfriend was dead, so many of his friends were gone. “Go!” Jolyne shouted, desperate for one of her friends to survive this insanity. “But- Saburo began to argue before the female Joestar grabbed him. “Don’t argue with me dammit! I... I can’t lose you too. You had a way out all this time but you stayed with us, to help. But I’m telling you to use D4C, find another world. This one’s fucked even if we do stop him.” The green-haired girl stated. “And remember us. That’s how we’ll all live on... So long as you’re alive, we’re not really dead.” She stated as the sun rose again for the third time that hour. “OK... I’m gonna miss you, Jolyne. Don’t you dare go down without a fight. I’m gonna miss you.” Saburo sniffed, trying not to cry as they hugged and he fell through the world, his body felt weightless. Countless possibilities ran past as he fell with his Stand, landing in some... classroom? He didn’t care. He’d ran, because he was scared. He ran, because Jolyne told him to. Pulling the group photo out, he tried not to remember how they died but the time they’d spent together, free as the wind. “Weather. Jolyne. Anasui. Emporio. Jotaro. FF. Ermes. I’m sorry... I tried.” Saburo stated, looking at them in turn before himself. Wondering if back then he’d have forgiven his future self... Perhaps it would have been better if he died with them, gone down fighting. Trying to save the world. Now he didn’t know where he was... Or why the things in his pockets weren’t his, or how he’d rather destroyed this universe’s version of himself since two versions of the same person couldn’t co-exist in the same universe... The Blinovitch Limitation Effect, he’d used it to fight and now it backfired against the poor bastard he’d replaced. Picking up the effects left behind, he sneered at the school uniform. He wasn’t wearing that, not if you paid him. “UA... Fuck sorta name is that?” He sighed, his dollars were soaked so he changed them for Yen as he swapped ID cards over into his wallet. Noticing the cell phone on the floor was ringing with “Dad” being the contact, he answered. “H-Hello?” His voice sounded shaky and he’d clearly been crying. Clearly been crying... It wasn’t every day your entire friend group was brutally killed by a priest with the powers of a god.
