(( Idk really. Some of the most common reasons I’ve seen so far include…
-Pearl is a lesbian ( which as far as I know has never been canonically confirmed so??????? )
-Bill is a flat/selfish/undeserving/bad character ( again I don’t understand this because he’s great and considering that Buck’s mom isn’t shown we can guess what happened )
-it’s gross ( ?????? Ok? That’s a matter of opinion not a fact )
There are probably more reasons that I’ve forgotten or haven’t thought of but the first one is the most common one I’ve seen.
If I’m not mistaken, the Crewniverse themselves actually like this ship as well. Soooooo I don’t understand the hate either. But it’s one of my favorite SU ships so honestly all the hate just makes me feel like shit.
There are actually now TWO blogs dedicated to hating on Pewey and tbh it makes me feel sick to my stomach. ))
