This week’s Females of Metal Friday is Patricia Pons, singer for the Spanish metal band Synlakross.
Founded in 2008 and having their first release (a demo) in 2011. Synlakross has released 5 studio LP albums and one EP since 2011, with their last one, Mental Parasites, being released in 2024. Along with their many releases the band’s 2nd album has won a multitude of different awards including Breakthrough Band of the Year, Best Album, Best Album Artwork, and Best Music Video by national and international press outlets.
As is so often now with these posts, I was not familiar with Patricia and this band until recently. I’m impressed by the many styles of vocals she has. From growling, screaming, and demonic, to clean and at times soft. It’s easy to see why this band has been around for 17 years!
I highly recommend you check them out if you haven’t already discovered this awesome band and Patricia!
