I've had this synodontis cat for many years and I still only see him maybe twice a month lol. He lives in a plant pot built into the background of Spike's tank. I knew he wasn't what he was being sold as (most likely a hybrid) but he was still a steal at $10 when I got him. Love having random cryptic fish in my tanks.

Synodontis is getting big and fat on all of those algae wafers (bonus appearance by Congo tetras).

each one of the guppies in my nano tank colony are of my own colorful creations, i bred them all myself through selective breeding, and as you can see they've began reproducing themselves :)

Synodontis orientalis came in today and they're really nice, little fellas.

Upside-Down Catfish (Synodontis sp.) are found throughout freshwater habitats in Africa. Their belly-up swimming behaviour is thought to be an adaptation to algae grazing on the underside of logs. Also known as “squeakers”, they can rub their pectoral fin spines to produce sound when they are frightened or disturbed.

These speedsters are pretty much impossible to get pics of, always zooming around. If they're not zipping all over the tank like little sharks, it's only because they're furiously digging around for food in the leaves. Really enjoying them so far though, may try to order a couple more if they're still available.
