Does Synth ever dream?

"I was a living organic before, half of my human body and organs are still intact within this synth body, just for an anchor of my soul to stay. But does this affect my dreams too when I sleep? Or is this how Synths dream in their sleep?"

Small concept of a human Tails design for now :D

-Sectoral heterochromia- left eye

-Most clothing is oversized- borrows from Sonic

-Hair kept back with goggles for safety- bangs hang over

-Goggles tie in back- pattern mimics twin tails

-6 fingers

This is still a concept, so certain elements may change, but I’m pretty happy with it so far!

It was pretty important to me to keep his limb difference in a human design in some way, given that I couldn’t just give him his tails. As for the reason I gave him sectoral heterochromia, I can’t quite remember. It’s a small headcanon I’ve had for several years at this point lmao

But yeah! This was just something I quickly doodled up today so :D

Small doodle dump for rn :D

The first one was a study to replicate certain stylization choices and coloring methods I enjoyed from IDW while organically meshing it with my own style

I think it turned out pretty well for what I was attempting

Second is the werehog because unleashed was my first Sonic game (technically 2nd), and I love the werehog

Third is Shadow (alien edition). I wanted to incorporate some bug-like features with Shadow, due to the hierarchical structure of the Black Arms- and because the carapace-like structure I drew on his quills was extremely fun to color

And the fourth was my first time attempting to draw Surge just today- trying to get a feel for how to best draw her because she’s very quickly becoming a favorite of mine

First post here on tumblr! Pretty proud of this one actually- I think it’s probably my best drawing yet, if I’m being honest

I tried out a few new things with the rendering and texturing that I think I’m going to incorporate into my style going forward!

I also tried to focus a lot less on perfection in my sketch so I could properly preserve my general idea without getting lost in the details at first like I usually tend to, and reserve the detailing for rendering- that also helped with creating the dynamic lightning forms for Shadow’s chaos energy as well

The first hour or so was basic sketching and color blocking (shown below), and then I spent about eight more hours painting and rendering over the sketch

Overall, I’m really happy with the result, and found a few methods that make the process of creating much more enjoyable for me :D

Just wanted to doodle something silly for them- planning on hopefully drawing out Shadow’s full design at some point

Some Sonic AU stuff! :D

These are Sonic and Silver’s working designs for my Entropic AU! They’re both very silly and I cherish them immensely

I thought up this AU about a year ago, and just now got around to drafting and finalizing some designs

They take some vague inspiration from jesters and carnivals, and the entire AU was partially inspired by NiGHTS into Dreams and Eggmanland (Sonic Unleashed)

I do have some more stuff planned for this AU (potentially including a fancomic in the future), so this shouldn’t be the last you see of them! :D
