First post here on tumblr! Pretty proud of this one actually- I think it’s probably my best drawing yet, if I’m being honest

I tried out a few new things with the rendering and texturing that I think I’m going to incorporate into my style going forward!

I also tried to focus a lot less on perfection in my sketch so I could properly preserve my general idea without getting lost in the details at first like I usually tend to, and reserve the detailing for rendering- that also helped with creating the dynamic lightning forms for Shadow’s chaos energy as well

The first hour or so was basic sketching and color blocking (shown below), and then I spent about eight more hours painting and rendering over the sketch

Overall, I’m really happy with the result, and found a few methods that make the process of creating much more enjoyable for me :D

I havent posted any art fight attacks since like ..four weeks ago? I think? so uh.. huge art fight attack post!!

I dont THINK i posted any of these but it also doesnt matter too much to me if i am reposting any of them. (I am confident that I haven't posted MOST of these anyways) Each person's socials or (if they have none linked) their art fights will be linked to each picture. I'll also mention all the tumblr users at the end too. There was an attack for two folks and they're both mentioned under that particular attack. I just cant do that with all of them because of how my dumbass decided to do this and I can't figure out how to add text in between two images without having to move images around or remove and add every single image again. (and i just cant do that to myself)

The Human!Tails is so cute! And I love the little details of the friendship bracelet and clothes being oversized because they are in fact sonics!!

Short explanation: if Sonic's clone is a girl it means that sonic could be afab

Long explanation:

In Sonic The Hedgehog 2 there was a glitch were Sonic's palette would turn green and black, the fans named it evil sonic/ Ashura the hedgehog

Archie's artist Ken Penders turned this concept into a character named Scourge The Hedgehog, aka anti-sonic; a sonic from a parallele universe, bizzarro style

He was a fan favorite but Penders wasnt really the best (Google Ken Penders lawsuits to check) and gived a lot of problems to Sega and in the end the Archie comics had to stop because of him, and now IDW pubblish sonic comics, and due how messy Archie sonic was, now Sonic Team has put a lot of rules of what the writers can or can not put in the comic.

Since they cant use Scourge anymore; IDW made a new character based on the green sonic glitch:

Surge the Tenrec; a clone of sonic made by Dr Starline! And since she is a clone and a girl; accidentally implies that sonic may be afab

Small concept of a human Tails design for now :D

Small transcription of my handwriting:

-Sectoral heterochromia- left eye

-Most clothing is oversized- borrows from Sonic

-Hair kept back with goggles for safety- bangs hang over

-Goggles tie in back- pattern mimics twin tails

-6 fingers

-Friendship bracelet with Sonic

This is still a concept, so certain elements may change, but I’m pretty happy with it so far!

It was pretty important to me to keep his limb difference in a human design in some way, given that I couldn’t just give him his tails. As for the reason I gave him sectoral heterochromia, I can’t quite remember. It’s a small headcanon I’ve had for several years at this point lmao

But yeah! This was just something I quickly doodled up today so :D
