While I've been mostly been posting about VIMALION PROJECT in regard to humanized depictions of the (otherwise faceless) Dreamtonics voicebanks, I've never really provided any input on what I think they would look like. It's kind of difficult to come up with new designs on these voicebanks without thinking about VIMALION PROJECT, but I had a decent start with this one. Also, yes, this specific design series (if you can even call it that) has a name... the Mannequin Project. Why are they called that? Because they're actually like mannequins; models that can be styled and tailored to the producer's fitting.
Some design notes:
Saki's overall design for the Mannequin Project is meant to be a combination of archetypal Japanese beauty mixed with elements of J-pop idols. Though, her body type is a bit divergent from either standard since she's somewhat tall and not very thin.
Saki's crop top was originally going to have a slightly dipped neckline (it was meant to bring to mind a kimono), but I scrapped that in favor of a straight neckline because it made her look more like a Mandopop idol instead of a J-pop idol. However, her buttons at least line up with the way a kimono is typically folded over a person's body.
I was originally thinking of giving her outfit wires with the colors of Saki's original color scheme (green + red + blue), but I ended up scrapping it in favor of giving her some wire-like ribbons instead.
The shape of the S barrette is directly copied from Saki's original logo.
