Penumbra SzPD

someone who either suspects, has traits of, or otherwise cannot be 100% sure they have SzPD, but still find it important enough to mention as they relate to experiences and need to note how they interact with others.

examples may include people who aren't able to properly self diagnose for whatever reason, are in the process of getting diagnosed, are a system member with traits the rest of the system lacks, or are unsure whether their symptoms are pervasive enough to be a personality disorder.

When someone feels their SzPD causes an acidic effect on others, or that their general SzPD symptoms are acidic in any way.

i really loved the concept of midnight/suspected npd, and i saw that someone made a twilight bpd flag inspired by it, so we decided to come up with similar terms for the other personality disorders!

nobody has to use these, i made this list for fun and because i plan on designing flags around them in the future and i wanted to have consistent theming for them

cluster a: umbra ppd, penumbra szpd, antumbra stpd -based on the three different parts of a shadow

cluster b: dusk aspd, twilight bpd, midnight npd, dawn hpd -based on different times of night/transitions to and from night.

cluster c: bathal dpd, abyssal avpd, hadal ocpd -based on layers of the deep ocean.

edit 12/3/2025: also came up with terms for persodivergent, pd-ts, ospd, and pdnos! shadow persodivergent -based on the common theme of all the terms, and the terms shadowgay and others. the most universal form of darkness.

stygian pd-ts, silhouette ospd, void pdnos -just other words for darkness. i chose stygian for pd-ts since it's a distinct form of darkness with distinct origins, silhouette for ospd since it's a word for a distinct shape lacking specific features, and void for pdnos since it's a 'lack' of specificity -- all of them associated with the base theme of darkness.
