IVE MISSED RUNNING DND SO MUCH!!!!
God, i can just feel how out of shape i am mentally from not playing dnd all summer. Im absolutely knackered after todays game.
Ive been revising my easy-roll dnd worldbuilding guide over the holidays and im getting really happy with it, like no matter what, it will at least be very useful for my self.
I let my players draw from the Deck of Many Things!
Results include:
Petrification
Reincarnation as a gnome
XP loss back to lv. 4
A Giant Slayer great-axe
The personal emnity of Asmodeus
A good job all around!
Yes, I will include an Immovable Rod in every D&D game I DM, and so should you.
Im not that interested in running a campaign in fantasy ancient greece (although most of my group Is ancient history majors), but the Piety rules in the Gods section of Mythic Odysseys of Theros is really good! I copied it and mixed together entries for each god/saint that my players follow and it was super easy!!!
Now they each have Do's and Don't's for each gods, with Piety as rewards/costs, as well as four reward tiers to unlock with Piety.
ACTUAL GAME BENEFITS FOR FOLLOWING YOUR FAITH!!!?? NOT JUST LORE OR FLUFF!!! GAME MECHANICS!! AMAZING!
Ive also incorporated my Concordence rules from S&F into it, so their Piety will be their bonus if they were to call upon their deity for aid.
Real Psyched!!
Tbh, when Kingdoms and Warfare was being announced, I was mostly excited for the new monsters and items. But after following Matt's development streams, I now really wanna run a player directed campaign of the group controlling a small stronghold and settlement surrounded by enemies and having to adventure and intrigue and war to expand and conquer.
Im really looking forward to getting this whole new way to play D&D!
Help a DM out!
I need a cool evocative prison that my Naga Explictica Defilus could have escaped from.
Features:
Built in a wet and muddy sunken temple in a swamp.
Temple first built by a yuanti snake ppl civilization, then turned to a prison.
Discovered by a Gol (bronce age human) civilization, freed, new temple built on top, then the Naga was imprisoned again below in the old temple.
Recently the prison was broken by an earthquake, and the Naga freed.
The Naga is what the youth call a Big Snake, so shackles and chains aren't gonna work.
She regenerates upon death, so she can "Heaven Sent" her was through any normal wall or door given enough time.
The prison could be destroyed by a earthquake, but should be able to be repaired again, so the players can Truimf!
She can charm people just through eyecontact, so that should be guarded against in some way.
Ive thought about it being some magic circle, but that just seems lame, therefore I need Help!
