The Heart of Oz
The town has enjoyed several days of much needed peace and quiet after all that occurred at the hands of Zelena. With her wickedness ended, and the safe return of Emma and Killian from their adventure in the past, the citizens of Storybrooke were breathing easier and starting to get back to normal; as normal as the curse created town could ever consider being. It's late in the afternoon with the children having been out of school for a few hours, and soon the clock tower would announce that it is five o'clock, and the mayor would be returning home to find a thief and her knight spending time with her little prince. In the living room Henry and Roland were busy working on the four year old’s alphabet and simple words list because in a few months Roland would be attending kindergarten and that was generating a lot of excitement for everyone. As the boys read off letters and put together words upstairs listening to the boys with one ear and a lopsided grin the thief was picking up toys that had already been strewn everywhere during the morning before Henry returned from school. After putting away the lego blocks in their bin Robin sat down and reached over to pick up Roland's stuffed monkey. The very one that Regina had given his son in the Enchanted Forest nearly two years ago. As he held the toy in his hands he couldn't quite place why he felt as if he was missing something, and then it hit him. It's five o'clock and not a minute after he knew Regina would appear in the house via her magic and he pushed himself up from the floor and raced down the stairs with the monkey in one hand. The moment she materialized near the front door he took hold of her hand whisking her into her study, and shutting the door behind them. Normally something so rash would be followed by an intensely passionate kiss as he crowded her up against the door but today he has stolen her away for something far less pleasant. When their gazes meet he can't resist leaning in to kiss her soft lips because he has startled her but it's woefully brief. "Regina, I'm sorry love but I don't want the boys to hear this and I've just thought of it moments ago, and it's rather important." He gives her some time to adjust to the abrupt greeting while thumbing the back of her hand in a gentle side to side motion.
