Good evening, Doctor. Forgive my intrusion, but you once mentioned that you knew a mech who was studying to become a Well attendant; was that training as extensive as that which you received to become a medic? Although there are no formal academies such as you attended any longer, I am curious about the background required in order to work with emerging newsparks.
Not quite as extensive, no. Rather than learning every medical procedure under the sun and how to apply it to every frametype and every age range in existence, you only had to master newsparks. And you also weren’t obligated to nurture them, so that cut down on training time.
Nowadays, we don’t have the luxury of academies and extended academy stays. If you’re decent with newsparks and pass a training course, they’ll let you work Wellside.
